The problem then is there is no explanation of what counts as "appropriate". If the model fits on a base, is that an "appropriate" size? The only model safe from this is Canis Wolfborn, who's codex entry specifically states that he has to be used on the base supplied.
For me, it's pretty obvious on looking at the model. Taken to extremes, Gretchin on 65mm bases, or a Dreadnought on one leg on a 25mm base, would not be appropriate. My preference is for the smallest base that the model fits onto without his feet sticking over the edge, so I would seriously consider putting things like Orks or Terminators onto 30mm bases (which means the latter would also be useable in Space Hulk).
nobody will argue if you put an Avatar on 60mm or a jetbike on a small flying base or a Wraithguard on a 40mm.
But a Carnifex on a 25 or 40 might invoke some reaction. As opposed to putting him on a big oval one.
Appropriate seems to be what is acceptable to all involved players.
Oh, I have some Warwalkers and Wraithlords on the old 40mm square base and some old jetbikes on octagonal ones.....
No, I am explaining that when people go "omg AP2 got a buff on vehicle damage rolls" they are very much mistaken.
It can now fire at most 2 missiles, and at most 4 weapons in total. So if you want to fire 2 lances and a splinter cannon, you get a single missile to go with it. The Razorwing's damage output was nerfed hard in 6th.
And before anyone asks, it doesn't have Hover, so it can't fire everything if it slows down.

You can not attack out of a building!
"Entering and leaving a building works exactly as embarking or disembarking a vehicle."
Surely is a bit weird. I will have to remodel buildings to have a courtyard with a Gate or something. OR House-rule double doors allowing attack....
By buildings they mean ones with armour values, not terrain pieces.

I like the rule that gives you a challenge reroll for every 5 models not taking part in the combat
Ork Nob vs Chapter master with 5 rerolls from 20+ orks stood next to him
Or the glorious intervention rule which allows a character to replace another in a challenge if an I test is passed
The rule I'd most like to see used has to be gunslinger. Any model with 2 pistols can fire them both in the same turn! Awesome!
No idea who would be best to use this tho?

I paint straight from the pot (and i'm not rubbish). So many models, so little time. Spruglys first blog

Tri-Optimum reminds you that there are only one-hundred-sixty-three shopping days until Christmas. Just 1 extra work cycle twice a week will give you the spending money you need to make this holiday a very special one.
Correct, but please consider what you have on your board.
A regular intact brick building would have an armour value (11) according to the rules, or some tin shag (9). so you could not attack out of them.
Clear it with your opponent! that they either have no AV or that you can assault out of them.
When it still just counted as a second CCW I modelled a few of my Wolves with 2 pistols Bolt, mixed and even 2 plasma pistols!
Now I can reap what I sow.Wolfguard with 2 plasma pistols.
I found another digression between the German and the English rules. And I have been told that in Germany only the translated rule apply![]()
I cant find the post but, it was stated before in this threat that:
There would be a difference between moving Initiative and striking Initiative under specific circumstances (unwieldy weapon etc).
The German rulebook seems to be very clear about that. you always only move and strike in your initiative-step (modified by weapon etc).
So no moving at I 4 and waiting to strike at I 1. move ad strike at I 1 in Germany
And no VOT visibility reduction, only the cover+3![]()
Trying to Assault from a building; if you take a leap from the top of the Battlements, would it not be reasonable to claim it as disembarking from an 'Open Topped' vehicle? Then it might actually be worthwhile risking.
"Ullah!"
R.I.P. Thunder Child, ?? - 1897.
The rule only applies if you are 'embarked' inside the building, not placed upon it.
Something fun:
Slow and Purposeful
A unit that contains at least one model with this special rule cannot Run, Turbo-Boost, move Flat Out, perform Sweeping Advances or fire Overwatch. They can, however, shoot with Heavy, Salvo and Ordinance weapons, counting as stationary even if they moved in the previous Movement phase. They are also allowed to charge in the same turn they fire Heavy, Ordinance, Rapid Fire or Salvo weapons.
