    Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster

They have Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster on Kickstarter if anyone might be interested.
They are on their final stretch goal and you get almost a hundred minis for $100 US.
Normally you only get 50 with the game.
So $740,030 with 18 hours to go to $781,598:

As long as nobody reports it, we should be safe from the big scary robot.

Advertising is what pops out on every page regardless wether you search for it or not.

You rarely get INTO a threat and get sprung by adverts.

Anyway, Alabaster is in its final 12 hours.

You get almost a hundred miniaturs for the 100$ Biohazard loadout, 7 of whom sell for 20+$ in their metal versions and a good dozen characters. Imho one of the best deals you will find in the SF section anywhere.

Pass this one at your own loss :-)

I really, really want the crew of the Calamity. But I don't really want to pledge for the whole game.

Emperor, I have pledged for the game and could add another calamity crew for you.

Though you will never again get 98 McVey minis for 125$ bucks (including the shipping here).

Impressive. I'd of pledged if it was something of my taste, as the miniatues are all high quality and for the amount your getting....wow.

Either way, good luck to you studio McVey!

Re: Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster on Kickstarter

I'm really on the fence here. I like the look of the figures and the game play look interesting and easy to pick up but I'm pretty broke at the moment and just started Malifaux...the figures in this aren't as quirky but are better sculpts IMO. I'd either have to pre-spend my free cash for the next couple of months...and I was planning on getting the Sixth Ed starter box or sell stuff on eBay.

A pity that WS didn't support this cause - I'd assumed that I'd just missed an SW thread because I dont' come into this section often.

As I mentioned in another forum: "I felt a great disturbance in my checking account, as if hundreds of dollars suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. "

Re: Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster on Kickstarter

Ended up in at $615 and Keep Firing level just so much good stuff in the end. I'm officailly done with GW not a penny more can't wait for the expansions either.

Now that the Kickstarter is finished and it's no longer advertising can we keep this thread for general discussion perhaps edit out the Kickstarter part of the title.

OK, I just remove "Kickstarter" from the title and the links to it there.
I'm in for $220. There was a massive bunch of cool items.
I hoping the down loadable campaign will be available before November.
I just want to look at it or maybe proxy a game while I wait.

Re: Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster

    Thanks Tommygun,

I think Rob Baxter still has to write the downloadable campaign - it's supposed to feature all the Biohazard stuff but that was long before we hit 100 minis and he has to finish up the lights out campaign (solo rules - beta version) so it may not come out until near the release date. Plus with all the new characters he has to do up stat cards for them and try to make them balanced. He'll be one busy man,

Re: Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster

Well I think we're ok - since the Kickstarter is now Over this isn't advertising anymore it's just ...talking.... about a product we like and plan to buy and maybe other people will like it and want to buy it too. Although maybe we're not even safe then... I had a thread about a game called Deep Wars that had all of - 10 replies and was on page 4 or 5 and the whole thread was deleted about 2 months AFTER the Kickstarted had ended! Genius! I guess they felt locking it at that point was kind of pointless but still wanted to - you know - contribute.

Anyway - I heard about Sedition wars from TGN and ...uh... every other gaming forum on the web and was really happy to contribute and get two copies of the game. Really looking forward to those minis! I don't know what I'm going to do with them all yet - but darn they look good.

It's too bad though - I wish I had been able to get more friends on board to split some of the shipping costs - especially for things like the extras - like the serenity crew. I could have added 6 to my order.

I'm in for $220 also. With all the reach goals it's a very good deal and I just couldn't pass up it up.
For the extra 120 i'm getting the scenery, extra character minis, and 2 of the THI suits. What about you?

I spent more on this than on my KoW "pre-order".

Do I recall one of the Alabaster creators promising he would write a Sedition Wars novel if the KS passed $500k?
