I am one of many tens.
IG FAQ leaves out if independent allies who join units can benefit from orders or not, closest parallel is probably sisters who let allied ICs benefit from AoF.
These just plain suck. Very little effort or thought.

Yeah Necrons seem to be the real winners in all of this which would make me extremely happy save that the person I play 90% of my games against when he found out about all the changes to assault thinks his Orks are just going to be crap so only want to play Necromunda now.............and I freaking hate Necromunda.
Sorry no GW I will not pay twice the $$$ to buy from retail stores in Australia and no amount of adds to the hobby, support you FLGS bulldung is going to change the fact your charging twice as much.
For the people complaining about Farseers only being Mastery Level 1:
The section in the rulebook , "Determining Mastery Level" says that in a pre-6th codex, anything which allows a psyker to use an extra power each turn now counts as +1 Mastery Level. So, Spirit Stones, the Mark of Tzeentch, etc now give an extra Mastery Level.
I've just finished a rewrite of Codex: Dark Angels for 6th edition!Find it here:

Yay, Ezekiel, one of the greatest psyker of the Imperium is still the weakest named psyker character in the whole ****en universe.

Can I just replace Dante's axe with a sword? Since we check models for rules and modelling is an encouraged part of the hobby?
Does this mean I can have 3 Dante models, one with a sword, one an axe and one a maul (let's be honest, I'll never use the lance) depending on who I'm playing? It's not in the spirit, but why is cr@p like this not clarified. They took the time to define Typhus' weapon (a daemon weapon & force axe), why not quickly add entries for other SCs. Notably, Astorath, despite carrying and axe uses AP3 at regular I because it has it's own rules and falls under Unusual Power Weapons because it has it's own rules. So do Sang Guard as well actually. So Dante will be the only model in my BA army carrying an axe that strikes at I1, despite 8-10 other models carrying them. Confusing much?
In the grim darkness of the 41st millenium, there is always more painting to do...
Awesome. Awesome to the head.

Hmmm; technically speaking this is correct
edit: also amusing; Grey Knight demonhammers are only ap3 instead of 2 due to all nemesis weapons falling under the 'unusual force weapons' rule
edit edit: wait it says 'unless otherwise stated' and the demonhammer uses the thunderhammer rules. rats. that could have been very funny...
I consider a lot of this a big part of the rebalancing of the game. A 2+ armor save is supposed to be nigh unstoppable and let's face it, for a while now it has been rather stoppable. I realize there were a lot of perceived "nerfs" but I consider it more a rebalancing. The power mauls on chaplains, for example, make it so that there is more sense in the weight of the common marine HQs. Power axes on characters does a similar thing, where it makes these characters mortal to bog standard troops but devastating once they hit. I think despite the feeling of it being unfair, it will level out in gameplay.
Was really surprised to see the Nids not get more benefits from the new style of CC weapons, honestly. Though they got a big indirect buff in that if you charge a unit already engaged, you don't need frags for your full I value. But most of the nid players are too busy crying to use that tactic, I'm sure.
The only thing I don't like is the no assault from reserves bit. I don't really see why that's in there, but I guess it makes sense given that the assault ranges are so much potentially further. All in all considering every power weapon model in my SW army just got nerfed to I1 I'm not taking it too rough. "I1 in 5th edition" is the context we're seeing it in right now; "I1 in 6th edition" is still unknown to many of us.

yeah, your hitting last, but you pretty much going to hit, and splatter all but other marines. and then even with other marines, your going to be pretty good. oh wait, ap 2.. yeah.. grins..
I don't like that they go last like power fists.. but i can see the balance there.
Sadly this means that Gee Dub did lie to us. It was reported that 6th ed was written for all codex from nids on. With the faqs, that can't be the case. so that means were once more faced with another round of updated codex's..
General: "Zounds, Man, Damn the engineer who thought of using Battle feild left overs in buildings.."
Hero: " I think he was the first ones that the Tower ate.. after coming to sir.."
Fugazi: Heheh, brilliant.
Korraz: This is so Warhammer-y, it makes me love the tower even more.
Well said Chapters.
Personally I'm amused by everyone who complains about power swords being AP3, and then turn around and complain about their character getting the AP2 axe....
