Storm Raven Ally Transport

So looking at the allies rules units from other codex's can't use allies transports, even if they're battlebrothers. So if I use allies to get a storm raven for my vanilla marines, I can't embark any of my marines in it? Or an Ironclad?

Sadly, you are correct. Vanilla marines still aren't going to be riding around in Stormravens.

Yep, as far as I know you can as its not brought as a transport.

The Stormraven can hover.

Something is a transport or it isn't. You don't by something as a transport. You can buy something as a dedicated transport, which has a few extra rules.

A stormraven is a transport and allied models may not ride in it.

Why would you want to put your marines in .
You can get better assault marines form bloodangels list put in there and a furioso dread is by far the best thing to put into a strom raven.

I was under the impression that the rule ment you couldn't embark on a allied units dedicated transport I,e rhinos, not that you couldn't use a vehicle brought separate that also has a capacity ie stormraven.
Ah well.
