Cheers,

Lovely gunship. Great painting and fluff behind her. Im still unsure of the rocket pod positioning but hey thats FW for ya.
Whoo shiney new Gunship, nice addition. One photo from the topside does show a lot of shine, it may be the flash, however, have you Dull Coated it at all? Loving the custom transfers. What's next?
Thanks for all the comments folks, its very much appreciated that you've taken the time to look at my log and comment.
@ 'Superdupermatt' - As 'Aigeus' as said the Storm Eagle balances perfectly on the flying stem, it really is everything the Stormraven should have been in my opinion.
@ 'Punkfish' - The Storm Eagle was reasonably straight forward to assemble, one of the long sides was a little skewed but nothing that hot water didn't fix. My only real critisism of the kit is the junction of the components above the rear door on either side. The chasis projects back into two symetrical points to the the rear which are nigh-impossibly to get a good fit on and hide the joints. but all in all i am very pleased with it.
@ 'Captain Brown' - Thanks fella, yes my old log can indeed by entered into the Hall of Heroes should you wish it.
@ 'Siph' - Next up is the pinacle of Astartes ceramite and cybernetica craftsmenship...

Veteran Sergeant Graves
Commander of the 9th Sternguard Squad | 1st Veteran Company | Crux Terminatus
It said by those that have fought alongside him that Sergeant Graves’ tactical acumen is only outshone by his skill with a sword. Graves’ service record reads like that of a Chapter Captain, an accolade that will surely be added in time as he is held in high esteem by his brethren and superiors alike. Trained to fight in Tactical Dreadnought Armour Graves’ favours its use for almost all combat applications, exploiting its heavy grade armour and superior firepower. Graves and his Sternguard squad earned their worth time and time again during the Purging of Elysia campaign, leading boarding actions against seventy three enemy vessels over the course of the war, all of which were successful. The most notable engagement saw the commensurate boarding of enemy vessels attempting to dock and support one another in repelling the Imperial aggressors, during which Graves scuttled the a renegade frigate ultimately destroying nine vessels and committing over 200,000 renegade souls to the void.
Graves is equipped with Tartaros Pattern Tactical Dreadnought Armour, an advanced mark that is often considered to be the pinnacle of Terminator Armour design and manufacture, brought into production alongside the equally regarded Mk IV Maximus Pattern Power Armour. The Lions Argent Chapter use Tartaros Pattern Terminator armour exclusively over other marks and patterns. Graves favours a Power Sword, fashioned in the style of a cavalry sabre although straight with double edged blade and a single handed grip. To compliment this melee weapon Graves carries a Tigrus pattern Storm Bolter.

Contemptor? Mortis or Regular? I've now done both! 12x S6 Shots w/ Rending with the Kheres Assault Cannons cannot be missed! Oh and I've added a Cyclone Launcher for a mere 2x S8 - with Helical Array it gains Skyfire Rule if it doesn't move - that should down a few StormEagles![]()
Graves is totaly badass. Again, love your chapter and your fluff, it´s inspiring, i have to say^^
Thanks for the comments folks, appreciated.
@ 'the damned artificer' - thanks for kind words fella, the eagle belt buckle is from Forge World's Huron model.
@ 'siph' - I am indeed planning on adding a Contemtor, loadout undecided. My comment, however was intended to elude to the Tartaros Pattern Terminators, i had neglected to consider the Comtemptor as the pinacle of ceramite and cybernetic achievement, which you quite correctly point out as such.

Sternguard Squad Graves
9th Sternguard Squad | 1st Veteran Company | Crux Terminatus
Amongst the hallowed ranks of the Lions Argent Chapter the 9th Sternguard squad are a unit of legend, renown for their consecutive successful deployments and ruthless efficiency. Lead by the skilled tactician and master swordsmen, Sergeant Graves, the 9th Sternguard Squad boast a great many accolades and honours from countless deployments. During the Purging of Elysia campaign, the 9th Sternguard Squad lead boarding actions against seventy three enemy vessels over the course of the war, all of which were successful. The most notable engagement saw the commensurate boarding of enemy vessels attempting to dock and support one another in repelling the Imperial aggressors, during which Graves scuttled the a renegade frigate ultimately destroying nine vessels and committing over 200,000 renegade souls to the void.
Over the last decade Sternguard Squad Graves have deployed almost exclusively alongside Commander Tavington and the 2nd Battle Company, providing the Battle Company with highly resilient heavily armoured infantry.
The squad deploy, more often than not, equipped in Tartaros Pattern Tactical Dreadnought Armour, an advanced mark that is considered the more heavily armoured cousin of Mk IV Maximus Pattern Power Armour. Whilst Sergeant Graves favours a Power Sword, the rest of the squad are armed with Power Fists, a melee deployment pattern that is approved by the Codex Astartes. Four members of Squad Graves are equipped with Tigrus pattern Storm Bolters whilst one squad member carries an Infernum Delta pattern Heavy Flamer. This wargear load out is most commonly favoured for boarding actions and close quarters engagements where the heavy flamer and melee weapons can be used to full effect.

Another strong piece of fluff and a great looking squad to go with it. I'm starting to warm to the FW Terminator armour now that I've seen a few painted examples. What's next?

Captain Nathaniel Tavington
Commander of the 2nd Battle Company | Warden of Linnaeus
Born of noble blood to a wealthy house hold in the city of Linnaeus, Leonis Minoris’ capital, Nathaniel began his martial training as soon as he was able to grasp a sword, as is the cultural tradition. Showing exceptional prowess in close quarters combat he was inducted into the Astartes training programme upon his coming of age, where he successfully completed the training and passed all testing with distinction.
The military career of Nathaniel Tavington has seen his steady rise through the ranks, most notably fighting as a sergeant with the first company prior to being assigned to the Second Company’s command squad with an impressive list of commendations to his name, rivalling such heroes as Carab Culln of the Red Scorpions and Cato Sicarius of the Ultramarines. With the Second Company command squad Nathaniel served with valour in the position of Company Champion before ultimately achieving his captaincy over the Company, a decision that was contested by several other Captains who believed that a more experienced reserve company captain would be a better choice for promotion to command a battle company. Despite this the Chapter Master and the Master of Sanctity gave their support to Nathaniel.
An indisputably accomplished warrior Nathaniel’ stubborn mentality and refusal to yield complimented the aggressive mechanised deployments and sieges of the Second Battle Company, proving himself worthy of his Captaincy in the eyes of his peers Nathaniel went on to achieve victory after victory sealing his place in the Chapter’s history. In recognition of his accolades Nathaniel was granted the title of Warden of Linnaeus, a mostly honourary role whose only real practical duty is to oversee the defence of the city should it be besieged.
"All my life i've lived by a code; honour your battle brothers, protect the weak and defend the Imperium. The Emperor watches over us this day, Fight for Him!"

He's a beauty mate, very very nice. I am loving the new war-torn look to your Lions, it's as good as the pristine versions you did previously. Just out of interest, how easy is that captain mini to convert/assemble? I've been thinking of picking one up, but the cloak and right arm don't fit too well with the look of my Chapter

I really like this force - I dont know what you are doing but you seem to have got "character" in all your models - I think it is just you have nailed each models pose bang on so they carry themselves very naturally, and I really like the scheme.
The look / theme / fluff is great - it will be a really nice force for sure.
