    Power weapons/special characters

    Hi.

I am going to ask what you guys think about the new power weapons and the model wielding it.

Some will say, model your model as you will as long it say "a power weapon". but what happens when the weapon have " axe" in the name, and the text say it is a power weapon? Like Logan grimnar, or Dante or someone else?

Can we remodel our special character to have a sword, even if it is "named" axe? but the text say "power weapon"?

    what do you think?

For someone like Dante, the rule is to use what th model comes with, so no.
For Grimnar though, his weapon doesn't follow any of the standard power weapon rules, so it's completely irrelevant what form it takes since no part of its rules tell you to look at its shape.

No, if your character has a power weapon and thier codex entry says they have for example "The Axe Mortalis" .. then clearly.. it's an axe.

But the text say a "power weapon" is that not enough for a remodeling?

As far as Dante is concerned, I couldn't say.

But Grimnar's rules specifically state he can wield it as a Frost BLADE or a Powerfist.
Frost BLADES now have different rules from Frost AXES...so it can be used as a Frost Blade (striking at his Init. value) or a Powerfist (and be Init. 1).

Dante doesn't have a power weapon. He has a unique weapon that refers to the power weapon rules. That means whatever form it takes, he uses the AP3 + its own rules option.
    Awesome. Awesome to the head.
