Aldershot "Ard Boyz" 1500 point 40k Doubles Tournament 29th July 2012

Welcome everyone!

This is the First Aldershot 'Ard Boyz 1500 points 40k Tournament.

The tournament will be held at The Games Shop in Aldershot. The Tournament will consist of 4 games over the day.

We will be using 6th edition rules and standard missions from the 40k rule book.

Tickets cost £15 per Team.

1st place - Ardest Double trophy & £30 in vouchers
2nd place - Award & £20 in vouchers
3rd place - Award & £10 in vouchers
Most sporting - Award & £10 in vouchers
Best painted army - Award & £10 in vouchers
Most Humorous Double - Award & £5 in vouchers
Da Spoon - Award & a wooden spoon (for last place)

There are 40 tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

Mate take a moment and calm down, i can understand that it might be annoying, but really you should be flattered, i and a large number of people feel your events are the best around, this is why i've chosen to model our event on yours. i'll change the rule pack to remove the wtf feeling and i hope this doesn't lead to a coke pepsi stand off

lol! Sorry you took it in the wrong way I was being sardonic whilst truthful it obviously didn't come accross! I should have added some smiley faces I am flattered but it is annoying spending alot of time and effort getting a document sorted and then having it reproduced word for word - a bit like someone plagarising your essay! Never any hard feelings I'm thinking about coming along if I can! And I'm a pepsi kind of guy

You should pop down buddy the last 40k tourney at aldershot was a blast, very nice atmospher. There's also the singles 5th edition farewell this weekend which sould be fun so if you're free and fancy it you could pop on down for that and demand staisfaction from Mr french.

after this singles this weekend gone i'm really looking forward to the doubles at the end of the month now, it should be a blast and I'm getting my Nids out for their very first outing which should be a novel experience. See you all there.

Only final highlights to do on 16 termigants and I'm done, I have had some very late nights the last week. One thing that can be said about tournamnets is they encourage you to get stuff painted.

Thinking of entering. Is it two separate 750pts armies with the full-availability of FOCs with just one Warlord, or does the second person follow the ally rules exactly as per the 40k 6e rulebook?

The second person follows the allies force organisation chart.
The person with the main force organisation chart must select one HQ to be the Warlord.

The only exception to this is Tyranids, they share one force organisation chart between both players, but need only the minimum 1 HQ 2 Troops between them. This can also be split over the two 750 point forces however they like.
