Looking good! Are you going to hand cut all the pieces?

I'm thinking about getting them laser cut on MDF.
laser cut ftwIf you have any contacts with your local secondary school you could see if they have a laser cutter and a wargames club..... could wangle yourself a free fortress!
Nice work! What software did you use?
Adobe Illustrator CS2. Well I just submitted 12 files to be reviewed and cut. I will be having 27 sheets printed! It's going to cost a bit, but should be well worth it!! I'm only having 2 mini-gates and 1 Double Gate of Large and Small being made. Maybe later I will get the other gate options made.
Look froward to the results!![]()
so am I. There was a problem with Illustrator exporting to .dxf file. So it is going to take longer as they figure out what is going on with it.![]()
My Dragons Teeth. Ice Cube Tray £1, Herculite II plaster £3.00 (for 4kg), Castle Golf Tee £1.79 for 100.
I'm having a problem with the mix. This batch has been the best, it hasn't crumbled. I'm currently using 0.40 part water to 1 part Herculite II. It takes a long time to dry.
They fit right onto 40mm bases. I've also ordered 100 eye screws and some really tiny chain. I will place the eye screws through the top and run the chain through it.
Woot!! My files have all been entered into the laser cutter by Warbases.co.uk 27 sheets will get me 3 gates (2 mini and 1 large), 18 wall sections, 4 corners and a ton of bits and bobs I thought would be fun! I've very excited to see something I designed from scratch being laser cut!! I've been purchasing a lot of 25, 40 and 60mm circular bases from Warbases.co.uk for my trees and Dragons Teeth. The total is running me around £50 but I really crammed a TON of stuff in the files including objective markers, crates, pallets, barricades and other stuff.
The reason there are so many sheets is I'm using a combination of 2mm and 3mm MDF and the gates are doubled up as well with designs on both sides (see picture above). You can of course still make this out of 5mm foamboard and 1mm plasticard or mat board. I will have to alter the plans slightly before submitting them for everyone.
I also purchased a 1.5mm and 3mm hole punch for rivets.
Here is the first run of my Sci-Fi bastion plans along with some really basic instructions. Please let me know if there are any questions.
NOTE: The plans are single page with MULTIPLE LAYERS. Please check the Layers on the left hand bar or Acrobat Reader or go to View-->Show/Hide-->Navigation Planes-->Layers

A lot of this is off like a rocket. Keen to see more. Terrain needs more love in this hobby. I got no wall suggestions though.
Now for the Imperial Fence plans. Right now they are made with two different thickness 2mm and 3mm. What two thickness would the general community like to see the plans at?
2mm & 3mm
1mm & 5mm
what do you think?
I wonder what this could be?
