Great stuff, thanks for the barricade plans (v useful for a necromunda campign event i'm planning!)
How did you make your own CNC mill? Is heir an online guide yo used?

Re: 40k Terrain: Ammo Dump-Zelot Shrine

    Hi Andy,
I made my CNC mill to fit my needs (and space )following inspiration from many homemade CNC sites and tutorials found on the internet.
Make a search with "homemade CNC", you should find plenty of information.
Be aware it is not a short term project, time to gather or built pieces, time to assemble the machine and time to tune it, mine took me about a year (working on it only 2 hours per week) and around 600 Euros to be fully operational.
    But it worth it !
    Cheers.

    Ooh looks v cool!
I made a barricade gate based on your plans with the laser cutter at work for the wargames club (the kids love it!) will get a pic on when they've finished painting it

@bulldog thanks for the info- sounds a bit beyond me lol (impressive project though!)

I made my changes and I've ordered 3 more Plasma Generators. Although so close to the Holidays I probably won't get them until the new year.

Any chance of seeing a table set up with all your terrain pieces/ WiP?
    Truly inspiring!!

Re: 40k Terrain: Ammo Dump-Zelot Shrine

I have not gotten my 3 other generators yet and don't expect to until after the new year. The cost ranges between £2.00 - £3.00 per A4 sheet. The fence ran me somewhere around £50+ and I'm just finally putting the fencing wire into them. Most of the terrain is not painted yet. I hate painting miniatures and terrain. I prefer designing and building them so most of it is just primed or naked. I still need to finish placing the rivets on my Bastion. Once I get a few of them painted I will throw some on the table.

I don't think I'll order any more for the fence. It is a fun design but I think I can do better now that I have a better idea what is involved. It was never intended as a aegis line just a fortified fence that provides a bit of cover and keeps people from charging over it. I may make a version without the fortified bit and only have the fencing going to the base.

List of Physical Projects I'm working on

    -Imperial Fence
    -Craters
    -Land mine field
    -Home made Trees

List of Designs I'm working on

-MDF Trench Frame (I'm loving this one)
-MDF Terrain/Figure Storage (might get very expensive)
    -MDF Bunker
    -MDF Missile Silo
    -New Eldar Warp Gate
    -Chaos Portal
    -Modular Buildings (Corrugated Plastic board)

So here are some shots of the terrain in action. The fence worked out great in this game where a Space Wolves had to stop this Chaos army from breaking through the gap made by the crashed space ship. I like the Plasma Generators but I would definately make the fence different if I was to do it over from scratch.

That looks awesome! Love the plasma generators- can I be cheeky and ask to have a look at the plans for them? Kids at the war games club would love 'em!

Re: 40k Terrain: Ammo Dump-Zelot Shrine

@Andy_T I'll get those posted soon.

So I'm moving house soon and other than the two miniature cases I own (1 GW and 1 KR) the rest of my miniatures and vehicles are stored in shoe boxes and take away containers. I've decided to create some storage terrain out of left over 4mm correx board I have.

I'm making two different heights. 3 inches and 4 inches. Each floor is stackable so you could make skyscrapers if you wanted. The foot print of the terrain/storage will be in 6 inch increments. so 6"x6", 12"x6", and 12"x12". I may do a 9" for landraiders. The inside will have dividers in them with the bottom dividers being permanently affixed to the terrain just to add stability.
