This is just staggering. I love everything here but my faves have to be the Mechanicum adept, Fulgrim and the Gorgon and that awesome Kantor/Little Horus. Just pure class![]()
Awesome duel. It's all great but I particularly like the face you've done on Fulgrim's sword.
The duell and the Captain are great. I think you are by far the greatest green stuff artist here.
Great work on those true scale Marines! I must say, I'm a bit torn between the colour schemes. Yes, the lighter one is truer to the fluff and other images of the Sons of Horus, but the darker scheme looks really cool... Anyway, this is a great log, and I'm looking forward to following your progress.

Really great stuff, shame you pulled little Horus apart for bits for the true scale version, i really liked that model. I am a fan of the true scale but your standared size marine, just looked epic, Little Horus and the hooded Sgt looked great.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the force as you do it.
rick
how's the talon coming along?
Thanks comments people!
@rickie: the little little Horus is still completely fine! I havn't pulled it apart..
@Beppo: I've painted it, but I'm not really satisfied with the results. I migt just give it a quick airbrush to lighten the colours a bit, as it is still in the old colour scheme, but I am a bit bored woth the model itself. I was thinking of replacing it with or reconstructing it into a mechanicum gundrone. I'm not sure...
I'll paint today, so hopefully there will be some pictures of new stuff tonight!
I´m looking forward!
honestly, I'm more interested in the photos of you extended tail, than your beautiful paint job![]()
ok it took a bit longer than expected, but here is my new captain (still lots of things to do though)

Absolutely gorgeous. How did you turn the HH art into a 3d model?
Cheers,

Amazing! What is this green? Witch number?
As you already know this is an excelent plog, with both great painting and clean original sculpts. I'd love to see this army take shape.
Fantastic work! Great effect with the damage to his armour!
Your views much appreciated as I need all the help I can get!

thanks for the nice words everyone! you made me feel guilty for not posting any progress this week.
For the past two days I've been working on my dread, ripping it apart, reposing, reconstructing etc etc.
here's the result for now: (still need a second arm, I think i'll take the assault canon, but it has been magnetized)
and another little thing I found on my camera: a Saul Tarvitz I made a while back (the model has been reused so there is no trace of this model :P)

Love the subtle shading on the contemptor' banner. Great pre-heresy stuff
Ok, it has been a (long) while since I last posted, but no more waiting!
I've moved to Florence this week and with holiday in Italy, I havnt done much,
but I'm working on yet another Horus. This time for GD Italy! I thought that a familiar
subject would be much needed, since I never entered in Golden Demon before and the
competetion is truly heavy. I hope I can compete...
btw the light is not ideal, but in my new room without proper lights, this is as good as
it gets by night..
I try to take my time, but usually I have painting frenzies so it takes a lot of restraint not to paint
everything in a go.

Oh dear Lord.....
P.S: Finaly your back!=)
The pose on the new Horus is great. That looking slightly upwards thing. Nobility or some such. Looks good. The converty/sculpty wotsits look grand too. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words people!
so what do you guys think of the battle damage? I think it's a bit crude (especially on this picture, being larger than the original.)
I was not sure how to do it, as I wanter nice clean layers of damage (black outlining, different colour in the centre, white highlight on the side)
it was hard to go with the micro damage I usually do using a small piece of foam. That method is effective, but maybe too rough for GD.
I really like how this project makes me rethink my painting techniques and skills. The GD is off course the fiercest competition there is, so everything has to be
well though out.
I have been painting for some hours today in GW Florence, and I made good progress (including a freehand I'm particularly happy with) so expect some update photo's later tonight
