The Land Speeders are in this layout because they are a little better this edition, with Jink , but also with firing 2 weapons after moving 12" , so can lay down plenty enough anti-infantry fire. The Stormtalon along with the Dreadnought are on Transport duty, and also the stormtalon should help against opposing fliers.
The Land Raider is mainly there as a gun magnet, although should prove plenty of fun to use, and hopefully keep Anti-Tank fire off my other vehicles.
Power Fists are a little Close Combat insurance, and yes, they can be picked out by challenges, but then that locks the enemy in combat with him alone, allowing me to auto break from close combat when he dies , thanks to Combat Tactics, and gun him down next turn.
My Commander is taking the Power Axe because having a 2+ and a 3++ , now making him tougher than ever, should give him enough survivability to be able to strike back. And if someone nasty challenges him, i guess the Power Fist sergeant will accept the challenge. I will sit him with the Plasma Squad.
