Thread: Ramming a transport

    Ramming a transport

    Scenario:
My vehicle successfully performs a Ram after moving 9" of its declared 12" and inflicts an Explodes! result on the target, which happens to be transporting a squad. Now, I have another 3" to move and the survivors of an explosion directly in front of me, so that unit will suffer a tank shock attack, naturally.
    All good so far?

    Questions:
Is there any point at all in taking the pinning check for the explosion result? As I read it, even if the formerly transported unit fails, they will immediately realise they are about to be crushed to death and take their leadership check to avoid the TS.

Or, is it the case that the unit could end up pinned, pass the tank shock test, and perform a Death or Glory attack whilst still gone to ground? Since, if they pass they are not necessarily forced to move, unless the tank would end up on top of them, and a Tank Shock is not an assault/charge.

I don't see any contradictions in the rules so far. If they are pinned and pass their tank shock test they are still pinned. But dunno if they can perform DoG since it's a voluntary action which being pinned disallows.

But yeah, they can move out of the way and still being pinned. They are only disallowed to make voluntary actions, not to move.
