Wanted to do a Sanctuary 101 themed game. The Sisters final stand vs the Necrons. Maybe this time history
would be changed.
Turn 1 - Sisters
The final push. Only a few of the faithful left. When would the xenos return? Just when hope seemed at its
lowest the Living Saint appeared and warned of the Necrons final attack. This allowed the Sisters to gain the
first attack!
So I stole the iniative. My 2 Doms having already advanced out via thier scout move rolled up the field
further and obliterated the Ghost Ark. 8 Necrons were destroyed but half ressurected. The Rets opened fire
on the Wraiths, taking 1 down. The Repentia boarded a Rhino and they and a squad of Sisters advanced out into
the field. The rest of the sisters stayed in the ruins and behind the defense lines awaiting the onslaught.
Turn 1 - Necrons
The Despair Harbinger and his Warriors shoot up the Doms killing 3. More mass gauss fire and scarabs take
down an Immo and Rhino. Another Rhino explodes from Annhilation Barge fire.
Turn 2 - Sisters
Celestine and the Seraphim Deep Strike in and destroy the majority of the Immortals and the Lord. Leaving 3
Immortals and the Nemesor. The Repentia charge the wraith which in hindsight was a bad idea. 3 Rep die right
off.
Turn 2 - Necrons
The Deathmarks step into our reality and lay into the Seraphim. With more supporting fire from a squad of
Warriors they kill Celestine and the Seraphim. The Wraiths kill 5 more Repentia.
Turn 3 - Sisters
Celestine appears again on the battlefield and in a rage assaults the Nemesor, calling out a challenge which
he accepts. This fight would go on while the Sisters home was razed to the ground and killed to a woman. The
Wraiths finish off the Repentia.
Turn 3 - Necrons
Suddenly a Monolith appears on the field but ends up immobilizing itself. The Doms with a bit of of divine
help rip the remaining spyder apart with thier hands. The other having been shot down previously. The Wraiths
assault a half strong squad of Sisters and kill 4 of them.
Turn 4 - Sisters
A squad of Sisters hiding in some ruins open fire on the scarabs destroying them. More gunfire and melee
exchanged but not much happens.
Turn 4 - Necrons
The Monoliths portal shines bright and Warriors step out and fire on some Sisters under cover. The Rets in
the Bastion realize to late they might have survived longer being inside instead of on the roof, as they take
fire from the Mono.
Turn 5 - Sisters
The Sisters under fire from the Portal Necrons open up thier flamers on them destroying them. But thier
victory is short lived as the portal begins to shine again. Meanwhile the Exorcists have barely helped the
whole battle. Finally the the weapon systems on both start to jam up and fires only 1 missle each.
Turn 5 - Necrons
Deathmarks appear out of the portal and open up on the Sisters. All but the Superior survive but her faith is
found lacking and she flees the field. Surely, there is a place safe to hide from these monsters? More
Warriors and Wratihs advance forward. The Sisters see the end coming...
Turn 6 - Sisters
The Sisters in the ruins destroy 5 more warriors advancing on thier position. Down below at the base of the
ruins the Wraiths wipe out the remaining Dominions.
Turn 6 - Necrons
The Deathmarks advance to take out the entrenced Sisters in the ruins. The Wraiths charge them as well but
are blown apart but snapshot bolters. The remaining squad of Sisters look out at thier remaining foes and
realize they are the last and soon they wont even be that.
Necrons win via Kill Points 12 to 7.
After thoughts:
Transports vs crons are free kill points (in a KP game) this tended to make it hard game for me to win
without a total wipe on the crons. I think I could have pulled off a total wipe if I had more time. Pretty
much love the new rules except for Challenges. Nemesor and Celestine couldnt hurt each other. This may be more
a Pweapon change though. Did not like the Bastion, might work better with manned weapons. And Quad gun over
the Las cannon every time. Aegis defense is the best one IMO. I forgot to throw grenades the whole game, Ill
need to rememeber that next time.
Over all a great game.
