Thread: Eldar Aegis Defense Line

    Eldar Aegis Defense Line

This won't get painted for a bit because I want to finish the main army, but I decided to convert an Eldar Aegis Defense line with a Quad Gun. Thought the Eldar would go with Generators and Force Field Walls so ran with it. When I paint this up I plan on painting the white force fields red like I do my gemstones.

Nice idea, a good change from the endless rubble. Eldar are woefully underrepresented as far as terrain goes.

    That gun is freaky.
I'm not a big fan of the walls though, too flat for my taste and they could benefit from more Eldar-typical shapes. They are force-fields or walls? For force-fields maybe a transparent material and candy-colour-airbrush could make wonders.

Are those to scale? From what I've seen, the large sections should be 5 and 1/8th inches long, and I know those are longer.

This pretty much sums up how i feel about this. I had thought about how I was going to make some non-imperial defense lines but was unsure on how to go about it. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like the walls, they're a good start. The Quad Gun... looks a little precarious. I'd consider taking out the turrety part between the lower body/grav platform and the quad gun part.

Man screw the walls that unit looks awsome!

    Nice paint job man.

Oh and don't screw the walls actually they're simply divine! :] I would like to see someone trying this with some clear plastic or something to represent a forcefield though! that's be cool.

Any pics of painting in progress? I finished a quad gun for Eldar also but I think yours looks a tad nicer IMO. I've also been planning out a projector concept. On some level it just seems to work the best for Eldar, on another it shows just how much the DoW franchise can influence the tabletop.
