Death Guard HH Book. Wht hasnt there been one?

Just curious to know if anyone knows anything about a HH Death Guard book and their fall to Nurgle? It seems a bit strange they have done one yet.

From the Primarchs book and the Lions story it seems that Typhus and a few others have already fallen to Nurgle but not the Leigion as a whole.

From what I remember (and this may be wrong), the Deathguard originally fell because they were trapped in the warp and they were all dying from a warp plauge. To save the Leigion Mortarion made a pact with Nurgle to save his troops. Is this still true?

    Anyone got any info?

You're right -- it's just not fated to happen until the Death Guard are en route to Terra. Until we get there, they'll probably get more coverage in other ways. It's possible that it might be changed in the series, but I hope not.
I am currently looking to shift a sizeable amount of Chaos Space Marine models, including Dark Vengeance Cultists/Chosen/Helbrute/Lord, Fantasy Chaos Knights, a Dark Apostle, Fantasy (Finecast) Chaos Lord, Warp Talons, Possessed and painted models with Forge World parts. Send me a message if you're interested!

That story is still true as far as we know and I hope to god that they don't retcon it because it's one of the stronger 'fall' storylines. If you want some more Death Guard, Mortarion has a little cameo in A Thousand Sons but it's not much more than the whole I HATE PSYKERS!!! facet of his personality. As Wyrmwood said we're not really at the stage of the Heresy for their fall to Nurgle and imo their actual rebellion (not fall to Nurgle) is kinda meh, so it'd take a lot of work to make that into a book. Not saying that one of the BL writers isn't capable of giving it some more nuance and depth but it's not as easy to spin a book out of, as some of the other Legion's stories are, Blood Angels for example.

No mention of Flight of the Eisenstein yet? That's a full-on Death Guard novel although from the POV exclusively of Nathaniel Garro, the only (implied) loyalist senior legion officer. James Swallow hinted a while back on the BL blog that they have plans for another DG novel soon. My expectation is we will see something in late 2013/early 2014

I'm really curious what made Typhon worship Nurgle from the beginning... I hope they will do something more creative than 'he fears change', 'he wants to get sick', or whatever....

    "He fears change" LOL
I suppose that would be the basic idea, but they'd have to flesh it out a lot more

That is implied. Never confirmed. The descriptions in IA make it SOUND as if the planet is ruled by nurglite daemons but it can go either way.

We can draw the implication from the Primarch story that Tyhus is already serving a being, whether he knows it is Nurgle or not is another question. We know as well that this being desires Mortarion as a worshipper.

The story in Primarchs where Typhon encounters the Dark Angels seems to imply that he originated from Terra rather from Barbarus. He was an active psycher/librarian in the Dusk Raiders. When the Legion reunited with Mortarion they became the Death Guard and the librarians were banned, making Typhon make a career switch by becoming a captain.
