Re: The 'not so' Grey Knights project log

Well, I finished this this evening (Apart from the base)

Lord Inquisitor Hektor Lupus Wolf-Born of the Ordo Chronos:

The fluff aspect behind the force is that Lupus was a member of the Ordo Chronos which has long since vanished, and the rest of the army are the veterans of the forces which he was commanding when they disappeared. Shifts in warp space have allowed them to re-enter the material universe from whichever hellhole they disappeared to.

No bases as of yet as I'll be using the ones with the Fleur de lis : http://dragonforge.com/Painting%20se.../sanctuary.htm

I'm really tempted after doing this model to replicate the paintjob throughout the entire force - Bone and large amounts of gold. The nice deep gold Ive managed to pull off I think would look great en-masse. What do you guys think?

    C&C appreciated.

I really like your FW Inquisitor.

    He looks massively big.
Could you please post a picture with him next to a standard sized mini (IG or similar)?
Kendoka: Would adding solar panels on the roof be to Tauish??
Kriegschmidt: Solar panels?! Heresy! This is the Imperium - we need massive, inefficient, smoke-belching power plants that burn fossil fuels, trees and whole species of animals and turn idyllic (heretical) havens into polluted, diseased, catalogued deathworlds!
Terrain: Apocalyptic Manhattan in an apartment, Bridges over Troubled Water, Forbidden City
    Miniatures: www.kendoka.com = Tyranids

Unfortunately, the Grey Knights have now been side-tracked by my Local Wargaming club's aim to rock up to the Warhammer World Double Tournament next year with all 18 pre-heresey legions. You can follow all our progress on our blog:

This is going to cost me a fortune!

    Cheers

Re: The 'not so' Grey Knights project log

Lord Inquisitor Hektor Lupus Wolf-Born of the Ordo Chronos' Escort/Bodyguard got assembled (And/or converted) this morning, after some eBay sales meant I could purchase the bits I needed. Unfortunately I've had to use some axe-heads rather than Hammers, but I think its still fairly obvious they are all counted as having Daemon hammers - The back of the axe head is, after all, an oversized lump for smashing peoples heads in with.

The bases will of course be re-done when I can afford to make an order for the scenic bases.

    Equips:

2 Paladins with Psycannon and Daemonhammer
    1 Paladin with Brotherhood Banner
    1 Paladin with Daemonhammer
1 Apothacary with Narthecium and Daemonhammer

I appreciate one of the Psycannon Paladins looks a little worse for wear but I'm sure he will look better when Sprayed - which I should be able to do tomorrow when the GS has cured.

Let me know what you think!

Well, I figured he might feel left out, plus the backside of a Dreadnought really isn't as attractive as one would like.

All the figs arte undercoated as of this minute, and, I'm in a great mood ebcause I just got a new job to carry me through uni after 3 months of searching! Success!

Thanks SDKFZ for your continue support.

Re: The 'not so' Grey Knights project log

Well, my vow of "Not another 40K army" was crushed by the kind words of a friend.... "But, they're Xenos, and you don't have any Xenos". Damn. I'm now in possession of a Tau army. To be afair it was a steal and I only pait £135 for £600 worth of minis, and I've fallen in love with them.

    At the moment I have:

    30 Kroot
    20 Kroot Hounds
    1 Krootox
    30 Fire Warriors
    4 Devilvish/tank with railgun/ion cannon (All interchangable)
    1 Skyray missile tank
    1 Commander
14 Battlesuits (Mix of broadsides and regular Battlesuits.

After a visit to my local wargaming club today, I'll end up having even more. I'll post some pics up soon in a new plog, and I'll make sure to link it here.
