    General Rules Question-Rile

I was wondering if anyone could answer a question about Riling a Warbeast.

The rule book states that A warbeast can be forced to rile to gain any number of fury.I got into an arguement last night that you must "force" for each fury gained (so if I want to rile for 4 fury, I am forcing 4 times instead of once). In the situation I read his ability and it ended up not mattering, however I would like to get a more (brick and mortor) answer.

Example Situation (not sure if even plausible but bear with me)

Enemy warcaster pops (ability or feat) that causes damage to warbeast everytime it is forced. I want to rile him for 2 fury. Would he take damage twice or just once?

I believe you would only take damage once. You force the beast to rile, and then add any number for fury to it, you do not rile X times to add X fury. Just looking at the rules under forcing - every other option that can be done multiple times, like additional attacks and boosting mentions that you must force for each attack or each boost. Rile just states that you may force a beast to rile to gain any number of fury. I suppose technically, you could do something like Rile, buy attacks, and then Rile again to max out a beast's Fury, which would be three forces of the beast. Rile on it's own allows you to force to add any number of fury, so unless you mess up and and to Rile again to add more fury, you can max out a beast's Fury by forcing only once.

Indeed. One must not forget the Treeman Hammerhead with his Linear Branchcannon.

You only force once and add any number of fury points you wish, so in a situation where you would be taking damage for forcing you would only be damaged once regardless of how many fury points you are adding.
