Simple fix for DE WWPs (aside from the obvious)

The 'obvious' fix would be to simply allow units to assault out of them.. but running on the assumption that assaulting from any form of reserves is simply not allowable...

then the next best thing would be to replace the section which disallows vehicles from entering via the portal with 'Only vehicles with a hull point value of 2 or less may enter through the webway portal'.

That way, it wouldn't allow just *any* vehicle to enter via the portal (which is something that, apparently, Phil Kelly thought would be overpowered), but it does allow some vehicles through, and allows venoms to be consistent with their fluff (which states that they are particularly well-suited for webway travel due to their size).

You could just give the Venom a special rule that allows it to enter via a webway portal.
That way venoms can use them, other dark eldar vehicles cannot.

I think it makes more sense for the venom to have the rule, not the webway portal itself.

Well, the reason for embedding it within the WWP rule would be to allow for the possibility of other small vehicles to be developed in the future which would be WWP-worthy, without having to slap a special rule on the vehicle. Since the WWP itself is of a certain size, it would make sense that vehicles of a certain size (or smaller) would be able to travel through it.
