A true Nagashizzar army would, I suspect, have elements of both the Nehekhara and Vampires lists. That's probably one of the reasons it's never really been done (not since the 4th ed Undead army); there's not space for three Undead armies and the Nagashizzar list wouldn't be visually distinctive enough, while at the same time being far too versatile to the point of overpoweredness. I'm not sure what its USP would be, either, but they'd probably make up two stupid massive monster things that come as a dual kit and therefore seem to cost more than they do and should and yet also look basically the same as each other, to fill that gap. Or perhaps they could add some more words to the units in the Vampires list to create new units: Banehexwraiths; Cave Tomb Stalagmite Ghouls; Supergiant Doomwingbats of Doom; and so forth.
I had an idea that the Nagash army (which will come I know it will) would be filled with necromancer style MONKS or priests, the army would be called "Cult of Nagash" and it would be an elite style army like the grey knights of fantasy, each one is a magic user (powered by Nagash) and each one is a fantastic fighter (like Shaolin monks) they do a lot of meditating, wield weird and exotic weapons powered by DEATH.
Well i don't think it would ever merit a whole new army or book. It would be a specialist list based on vampires and/or Tombkings, either included as an appendix or as part of a campaign book.
Love Coffee. Hate Starbucks. dirty tax avoiders
Teclis would be the best or the worst, depending if you play with him or against him. The special characters of the Lizardmen are the worst, cost too much.
It has to be Tullaris high executioner of Har Geneth for me.He was so awesome in 5th ed 2 wounds, fear, dealt d3 wounds and the black amulet! Now he is not even a zombie of him former self... Koran is a close second!Fluff wise these guys are fantastic but point for point on the field of battle these guys have no grace or place!
I like Ghorros because he goes around sowing his seed. Dislike him because aparently everyones related to him, including gor ( defined as a seperate race!) :/
The rules for all the beastmen are pretty dire to be honest. Even gorthor, perhaps the most successful beastlord ever to exist, could not find an item to give him a ward save. The one who came from the moon and gibbers has one for free!!
play!
AA
I kissed a girl and I mandiblasted it.
A Taste of Venom
A Taste of Chaos - Now with extra beastmen!
Markus Wolfhart, the new Empire Huntsmaster is a massive let down in game terms. He really can achieve very little.
I don't mind his fluff as bad though, and there is a pretty cool picture of him on his page in the AB; but that's all the positives I allow for him.
Fluffwise, I like the fluff on the 'scarab guy' in the TK book, Kholek. I miss Durthu.
Shadowblade, Throgg, have fun mechanics I've enjoyed
Fluff and mechanics success: Drycha (if only you could have a BSB...); Green Knight; Oxyoatl; Tallymaster
----------------------
On armies I actually play, I am not impressed nor particularly unimpressed with any of the O+G ones in either mechanics or fluff (always had a soft spot for Snarsnik despite his mechanical shortcomings. I just like squigs though so hard to pass up a special squig)
For ogres, lots of failure on fluff and mechanics: Skrag is the only who passes both tests for me, and Golfag's fluff as 'the uber-maneater' is great, especially given his established history, but he is embarrassing on the field. Bragg and Goldtooth are a failure in mechanics and fluff for me across the board.
Bah! The only Kurt worthy of mention is Daisy Kurt von Helboring II!And of course, her rider the Mad Count of Averland. Marius is a highly intelligent raving madman and for that reason, among various others, I've always enjoyed the little fluff bits about Lietdorf. The same goes for Thanquol.
Worst fluff wise would be Kaldor Draigo or Greasus Goldtooth. Whilst the former is best left to rot in another universe, the later is noted for being a cheat and the fattest b!tch out there. My care for the immense girth and number of chins of the fat one is precisely zero.
Game wise I'm not really aquainted with all that many, but Heinrich Kemmler has always seemed rather useful if used with the proper support. Conversely his counterpart Krell seems quite poor.
And of course, the character with the best in-universe life is Orion. In the Spring and Summer he's out chilling with the boys, hunting some humans in a festival based on drunken violence and wild abandon. In the Autumn and Winter he's at home with his (by all accounts, extremely attractive) wife who doesn't nag him.
And you know, he's immortal and stuff.

The problem with being the best is that everyone else wants to be the best. And once they succeed, as an assassin, that usually means that you aren't alive to regret the loss. Personally, I wouldn't want the title.
