    Lightbulb Fast Eldar Army List

    40K Army: Eldar
Farseer, Jetbike, Spirit Stones, Runes of Warding, Doom, Guide, Mind War, Eldrich Storm (Telepathy powers) 205

Farseer, Jetbike, Spirit Stones, Doom, Fortune 160

6 Warlocks on Jetbikes, Enhance, Embolden 285

10 Harlequins, Troop master (fusion pistol harlequin's kiss), Shadow Seer (fusion pistol harlequin's kiss), Death Jester, 7 harlequin's kisses 292

3 Jetbikes, Shuriken Cannon, Warlock (Destructor, Singing Spear) 134

3 Jetbikes, Shuriken Cannon, Warlock (Destructor, Singing Spear) 134

3 Jetbikes, Shuriken Cannon, Warlock (Destructor, Singing Spear) 134

3 Jetbikes, Shuriken Cannon, Warlock (Destructor, Singing Spear) 134

3 Jetbikes, Shuriken Cannon, Warlock (Destructor) 131

9 Warp Spiders, Exarch, Aditional Death Spinner, Powerblades, Withdraw. 240

    Total: 1849

The idea is to use the two units that have hit and run to put the leave the enemy in a position where the 5 destructor powers can be used to maximum effect. The Seer Council is there to break tough units with the help of the warlord's telepathy. Please let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Re: Fast Eldar Army List

I've run Bikedars so I've some experience with this type of list.

Problem with eldar bike list is that it's easy to take down. Few, flimsy models makes it very tough to last the entire game.

I think your Warp Spiders, though a very great unit, is first of all too small and out of place. I'm not sold on the Harlequins as a single foot unit at 300pts is a great target. And two Farseers at 1500pts is one too much when you have fielding a warlocks squad.
I think you need at least a unit of Shining Spears. They are really great tank hunters and their exarch powers make them able to do well even when assaulted. Also in 6th the Skilled Rider is awesome for their Jinx saves. If you give your Warlocks Singing Spears you can settle for one Shining Spear squad. Otherwise I'd go for two.

Then I think you need Vypers. Running them with either SL+SC for a more static but firebase or dual SCs for a more maneuverable one. Also here I think 6th has helped them. I've seen people put BLs on them. I've always though it too expensive but rumours has it they perform well.

    Re: Fast Eldar Army List

Thanks Voloch I'll give that some thought. The problem I anticipate is not a lack of tank hunters but a lack of flyer killers. Do you have any suggestions for this? Would war walkers be a bad choice in this list?

    Re: Fast Eldar Army List

please let me play this list... please...

my IG army (6 hydras and 3 vendettas) would love this list
my SM army (3 orbital relays and snipers) would find this list nothing if an intreasting match-up

I think the biggest thing to consider here is that with all the flyers in 6th alot of guard armies will be fielding 1 or more hydras which will f*3k a list like this up, and secondlyif this is a list you want to prefect, try dark eldar allies and get a unit of reaver jetbikes aswell as a raider and reaver

Forgive my ignorance but what does a hydra's gun actually do? I have never played against one.

it is a heavy 2 autocannon, that ignors jink/cover saves on bikes/jetbikes and has the skyfire rule

Erm, ok that sounds good but not hugely problematic. It's not a template weapon right? Can it ignore normal cover? If not depending on the map I could get pretty close to it before it got to shoot. and 6-12 shots a turn doesn't sound that great either.

Also its an autocannon right so why does my normal 3+ armour not simply catch it

Also thanks to the amendment to the Hydra in the FAQ, they can only hit non flyer models with snap-shots as they do not have the interceptor rule

Even with 4 twin linked shots that hit on 6s and do not ignore the 3+ save of eldar jetbikes....oh well they cant use their jink save, not that they need it.

Yes fliers are a problem with this list and unfortunatly atm Eldar do not have any good units to deal with them, i'm hoping once Imperial Armour Aeronautica comes out we will have access to Nightwings to deal with enemy fliers.

Overall a good list, though you might want to put a destructor or two on the jetcouncil

    CTM
    Angels Aquilla 4th Company: 28-5-3
    Shadow Stalkers: 9-3-1
    Craftworld Ver'Vin: 19-3-1

I agree with an above person who says that shining spears and vypers would work, they would distract fire from your weaker guardian jetbikes.

    No qualms about the farseers.

I also think war walkers would be a great idea, providing some ling range cover fire. They are also quite manouvreable too, if you want them to be, with scout allowing outflanking to come into play

    Hope this helps

    Re: Fast Eldar Army List

Wow, I'm surprised this thread is still going. Thanks for the advise guys, I'm in the middle of moving at the moment and so didn't have internet for the last week. Still once I have time for warhammer again I'll give these ideas a try.

    Thanks again,

5 Fire Dragons, Exarch with Crack Shot and Tank Hunter.
Aegis Defense Lines with a quad-gun. Exarch shoots the gun. 212 points, and fliers are now effectively dealt with. If you're to argue that it's too many points for just one solution, consider you've still got a high-BS 7/4 Heavy 4 gun that ignores cover saves and can shoot things on the ground, too.

It seems kind of out of character but I can't deny that that is a good solution.

Thanks for pointing me to this idea. Not quite as good as fielding this with a Vindicare Assasin...but very good none the less.
