I'd like to think so, but I want to see one of the other female sculpts appear before I let him off the hook.

There used to be something called "Land dragons".
I think they were Ral Partha minis. I always thought they were pretty cool.
Lots of folks weren't too thrilled about Demi-griffs but they seem to have gone down well.

Maybe HE riding baby dragons?
Also, a second dragon kit would be more than possible...
This is the war-ravaged world of Warhammer, and there's only WAR!... and hammers.
can you imagine how pricey Dragon Prince on Sun Dragon would be though? You'd be looking at huge armies to be able to fit them in. I think we're more likely to see something along the lines of the Demi-griffs or the Mournfangs with a wingless drake style creature to make it distinct from Cold Ones. Failing that there is always the possibility of Lion Cav.

I hope that they chose to explore the other kingdoms instead. Avelorn, Cotique and Yvresse which currently have no units bar special characters.
Dragon Princes on Sundragon's wouldn't be that much to be honest. If you compare to other monsters out there today, all of our dragons should see a points decrease -with "D.Ps on dragons" also being cheaper.
I would love to see that option, I could re-base/re-model my White Lion cavalry and it would be perfect.
Technically ever province has units as every province donates troops: Archers and Spearmen.

<Please insert an F-bomb here...> I just decided to reboot my HE core infantry, buying several boxes of spearmen and archer arm bits & quivers. If this is true, not a happy camper due to the money I just dropped. While I hope for others it is true, I hope for MYSELF it's wishlisting!

I can see land drakes working. I toyed around with the idea of converting a Carnosaur to that effect and then playing him as a Lion Chariot, so why not? True Dragon Princes would be lovely, but we'll see I guess.
There dosn't necessaryily need to be a 3 model minimum in the unit. You can take units of 2 mournfang right now. Anyway there certainly are 500 point units running around. Even a single model unit wold work fine. Its not like people field nobles on sun dragons right now. They arn't really that effective in the current rule set. Lower their cost, take away thunder stomp. Probably still be T3 , lol. Heck they probably wouldn't even be as nasty as the mournfang, just more mobile.
Flightless dragons would seam pretty weird to me. Would just start to look like cold one cav. Seams like if they are willing to make a chariot fly, they wouldn't mind doing it to monsterous Cav too. Getting them to RANK UP, now that would be pretty tricky![]()

Speaking personally I'm not too fussed about the Spearmen/Archers being replaced as I've got loads of the 4th Edition plastics waiting to be painted (not to mention a couple of units worth of each that need to be finished off). I would like to see a new unit in Core as I'd like some different options.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see "Drake Riders" in some form as it fits the army theme. I'd have thought the big question is whether this would take the form of Monstrous Cavalry (possibly flying monstrous cavalry) or a ridden monster in the rare slot (I'd have thought that if they decided to give the option for Nobles to take Sun Dragons in the book they're already covered kit-wise with the current Dragon kit). Every army after OnG so far has had Monstrous Infantry or Monstrous Cavalry and every army apart from Empire got a new rare Monster (counting Terrorgheists here as they were new to the army book even though they were in White Dwarf the previous year) so it could go either way.
I'm disappointed that there's a lack of rumour so far about plastic Eagles, especially as it's a kit that would serve two armies (and I could do with a couple of actual GW Eagles on the offchance I decide to go to a tournament at Warhammer World).

I have heard something about Great eagles. But I can't remember exactly what. All my rumour stuff is on my other Laptop which has died on me and so far I have not been able to access it to get the data off it. I had to pull this lot together from memory.(and skimming old threads). I will sort it out eventually and update all these threads from my notes.

The way I understood it was that it was a singular choice per selection like any other monster - but more pertinently a gorger, in that the choice of a character will modify its otherwise limited access. Taking Imrik I think would change access to them - either by becoming special, or 1-3 per choice (but staying as a monster, are deployed seperately, rather than monstrous flying cavalry).
Consider a Stonehorn to a Sun Dragon. There is very little between them, yet the rider stats of an ogre trump even an elf hero. However, an ogre hunter adds comparatively little, aside from the additioalnal expense of access to the magic item list. The same applies here. For 330 points, the current base cost of the already 'overcosted' sun dragon and noble with weapon upgrades (lance, shield armour, bow) could probably be dropped to 300 at the least, possibly even 275 for a 2,400k limit 5 dragon game.
In my opinion (this has no basis on rumor or anything), the Dragon Princes would be better served riding mini-dragons, and acting like Bretonnian Pegasus Knights, instead of having a full sized dragon.

Comments/Criticisms/Thoughts welcome indeed!
Death Korps, High Elves, random Dark Eldar, more to come (eventually)! Now includes Dark Angels!
Is there any information on rules changes? Personally I like HE more or less the way they are, hitting hard but taking it hard. I'd hate to lose Always Strikes First lol
sounds really fun
