I sure hope antipathy is not just toying with my emotions. I have been wish listing this for 2 years! Tbh though, I assumed they were going to go back to the wedge because of the description in the main book. On the other hand, the wedge does a very good job of complicating the game with a lot of specific army book specialty rules (of witch 8th seemingly is not a fan). they could do both!!!! op much?
Some find an argument valid based on the truthfulness of the premises and if the conclusion logically follows . Most prefer to just stop their feet, use the F word, and call everyone else ****** ... oh well

Yes, people seem to have decided to set in stone their own date rather than way for GW to release them.

Well it's either that or let hope die altogether

Well lets hope that the development team are doing a Dark Eldar style revamp on Brets. Not just an update for the sake of it, but one that really does the army justice. I'm willing to wait while 9th ed (yes, that long) for a Bret book that goes above and beyond.

I expect this to be the case for Brets, but also for WE and Dwarfs. Those three armies are the most lacking in their model range (in terms of plastics) and in their books (in terms of variety of choice and fit within this edition). I expect these three books will be radical departures from their current versions.

    Re: Bretonnian Rumours

The last edition already tried to do that with Bretonnians and left their official fluff in tatters with Arthurian legends brutally murdered with really little replacement. Not to mention the fact, that for any heraldic guidelines I still have to consult the Stillman's version, as the newer one has some shields drawn in colours but with no explanation of the design rules whats

I would really prefer a "small" book, with just some rule tweaks and two or three new units, if any. Still, my collection is large (as is my to-paint list) and my memory fondly remembers the 5th edition book (and not for the rules before anyone says so) so not only I am not a typical player, but I also am not a "target" for the salesmen.

Yeah the heraldric rules for the Knights was awesome in the 5th book. The idea you can tell each individual knights past just by looking at his Heraldry is sadly missed in my opinion. It was one of the best things about painting and playing brets. Knowing that that knight with the tower on his shield took part in a siege or the guy with the crown over his griffon fought a long side the king etc. It gave each knight even more character than they have now.

I like the new crusader knight feel (granted new is 9years old). I hope we get more of that.

Wow, those are some expensive Grail and questing knights.

I think I'll wait until their plastics are released in 2014.

I take it the damsels will actually be the ones on foot and mounted rather than just either or. Id hope so for that price

    Re: Bretonnian Rumours

uggh what prices... I sold nine 5th edition grail knights for around 60 euros some months ago... I think i should have waited a little bit more...(sarcasm).

56 dollars for an artillery piece is crazy too... They really want to make themselves one with forgeworld.

  17. #77
Yeah it's time to get about 4 packs of the old damsels on foot. That model to this day is probably the best female sculpt GW has ever put out. It's a shame it'll be turned to meltcast...
