From the context, perhaps more likely to be based on this warmachine?

    Rehashing? I prefer consolidating.
Also you don't start to get a picture of what is going on until you pull all the scraps together.
....and once it is being managed it tends to encourage more information, clarification.

Thanks for that great bit of clarification on the big mashey kit. I couldn't make head nor tail of the description I got but rehash of the old Juggernaut I do understand. BRING IT ON!

You absolutely get a mention for the slayers.... as well as this new nugget.

    Interesting Source?

From the illustrations I've seen, they resemble large Ancestor Masks with 2 smashy hammers on wheels.

You're asking for the source to THE source? HERETIC!

Thanks for this thread. I don't mind if GW would take some inspiration from Demonworld warmachines. Actually, the "ancestor" from a Warhammer rulebook illustration does look similar to the Demonworld one, does it?

What, no plastic Hammerers or Iron Breakers?

    Re: Dwarf Rumours

In one of the 8th edition releases there is a battle going on between Greenskins and Dwarfs underground. There is a bridge IIRC, which is lit up by a Flame Cannon. Above that, I believe is some form of floating stone platform with an equivalent of a dwarf tiki head, firing off lightning bolts.I cannot remember which and have no books to hand, but I believe it is in either Orcs or Storm of Magic. Whether this is artistic license or possible 'preview' concept work for an as yet unseen 'magical' update similar to an anvil of doom, remains to be seen. And just to throw it out there, The Casket of Souls which performed a similar role for Tomb Kings became a war machine, instead of 'mount'. The same might happen here, although what that will do to Thorek (War Machine crew Special Character?) remains to be seen

+1. I mentioned both units a while ago, either on an old thread or talking to Harry. Either way, they are getting new models and aren't to be a dual kit. I think I had grounds to believe one of the two wasn't to be plastic, but can't recall, and don't really hear anything anymore.

Intresting that, cheers. Given GW seem keen on releasing new stuff relatively soon after the book nowadays, perhaps they aren't quite as far along with everything as I'd thought.

Orcs&Goblins, page 6 or 7, full page artwork with lots of glorious dwarf creations of destruction. I like the gigantic moving dwarf statue on the right.

    Re: Dwarf Rumours

Was it the old Chaos squats for epic that had a similar looking giant cannon? Anyway when i got back into warhammer via 8th, around its launch i remember speaking to a staffer about what armies will be getting the makeover first. He mentioned Tomb Kings and that they would get a Sphynx like monster and alaso a dwarf statue. Though at the time im pretty sure he said it was a terrain piece rather than anything like a golem so not sure if that classes as a rumour or not. Plus it was a couple of years ago now so take it with a pinch of salt as it also came from a staffer. But hey he got the warsphynx right

Yes but whilst there has been lots of speculation I could not remember anyone coming out and stating it as a rumour.

That classes as a rumour. If it was from the same conversation as something else that later happened it classes as a 'solid' rumour.

    Thanks fellas.

    Re: Dwarf Rumours

It would be really funny if they made a giant broken down dwarf statue as a piece of terrain and introduced it as a unit for dwarves later...
We both read the rumour, day and night,
