I don't mind the big ape but I'm not sold on the Planet of the Ape Zees at all. First concept I've not really liked though so can't really complain! Be interested to see what the next team although a little overwhelmed with how much is being offered to begin with. Would have rather they held some back as this would keep generating interest in the game going forward. At the moment we know pretty much everything coming for the next year!

Giving away one of those big guys with striker is just frikkin' generous! Definitely gonna take the Nameless Spawn for my one.
I actually like apes and the Zees look like they'll be fun to play for a laugh. I've already told myself no more though, I've got striker, BOGOF teams and that Gabe MVP. I figured I'll be getting the others so I may as well go ahead and get him too.

Played 6 turns at the Open Day today, lost 5-4 but it was great fun. As someone that played a lot of Blood Bowl back in the late 90s/early 00s the speed that things can change, and hexes being harder to protect the ball carrier than squares catches you out the first time.

The Zee are tiny - as in halfling sized - and very vicious. The intention is you'll have tons of them on your subs bench and, while existing players get sent off for excessive fouling more will just come on.
The last team are able to Teleport too!
    All from todays open day.

I also played a game today, won by 2 but I think we got some of the rules a bit off - still, enough to get an idea of the game. It's very fast paced and there's a lot of tactical options, we had a couple of real pinball moments as well where the ball bounced all over the place (handled pretty quickly).
Also, Orx hit hard, very hard.

Awesome the teams in and strikers get two.
Also at 585 we get the next two prone markers!
Then a special character. All included in striker for those of us that purchased it.

Still need to see the 12th team and 4th big guy theyve mentioned are on the way.

So much stuff now! I wonder if the Rebels and Plague will get teams eventually? So far they're the only Warpath armies that don't have a team.

    Re: Mantic Dreadball

Those completionist packs are rather nice...but do you really need 16 players a team? Seems a bit like overkill to me, but hey - go for it

I feel having a 16-man set of Judwan would be especially tedious...hmm.

You don't if you don't want them We've been asked for packs so that everyone can get the maximum number of player positions so they can mix and match their roster to fit they're playing against

    Re: Mantic Dreadball

Oops just upped my pledge - Nameless and asterian teams are coming home with me as well

Personally I like the idea of kin kong obliterating my opponents: So had to put in for him as well (as the nameless spawn is toooo coool)

Haven't been this excited about a game for a long time!

Edit: Have we thouht about the following - Tale of Dreadball painters log; Warseer Dreadball league?

    Re: Mantic Dreadball

People complaining about not getting more free stuff is ludicrous quite frankly.

The Striker deal already nets you 100 models for less than £100 plus the game and other bits.
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... and then it's just fun!

    Re: Mantic Dreadball

Indeed. I feel I've been repeating that so many times to people mainly on kick starter.
As I said to them a lot of kick starters on there don't give you more models at each stretch but more choice only.

They have to remember how worth it it is rather than why we didn't get all the big guys free etc.

    Re: Mantic Dreadball

There's the Tale of Board Game Painters for those who'd like to paint Dreadball. I'm painting my Super Dungeon Explore for it at the moment but I plan to start Dreadball when it's released.

I'm confused on the season one complete pack. It says that we get two extra players for all the teams plus a prone marker for each but the Striker! pledge already includes one prone marker. It's just giving us an extra one & not a mis-print on the Striker! poster right?! I.E we already get one in Striker! & we'd get two if we upgraded? I'm not that bothered about getting the complete season one teams at the moment as I'm happy with 14 players but would like at least one prone marker.

For those who've played the game how many players tend to be knocked over at the same time? Or do player tend to get taken out into the injured bit more than get knocked down?

Thinking of changing my extras around to not get keepers & coaches for now & use the money towards season two complete instead of BOGOF that I have at the moment. Wish I could afford more but seriously impressed at the deals that Mantic are doing for this. Such good value.

Yeah that's a second prone in that.
We'll get one of each in striker.

    $645,000 - Teratons

Size:	110.6 KB

The thriving Teraton Empire is a relative newcomer to the galactic powers-that-be but they have already embedded themselves into Corporate culture. Master tacticians, auxiliary fighters and shrewd merchants, Teratons are deep-thinkers and incredibly intelligent, despite their huge size and ponderous movements.

When the slow, hulking Teratons first announced they were going to field a DreadBall team as part of a public relations stunt within the Co-Prosperity Sphere, these living tanks were ridiculed and criticized by the media and senior coaches – too slow to keep pace with the acrobatic displays of the big league teams, too big to be able to cope with the skill and finesse of the sport’s rising stars. Once again, Teraton intellect had been underestimated.

Well aware of their apparent weakness, the Treserarc Titans took to the pitch with cerebrally implanted teleportation devices, seemingly able to disappear into thin air with a knack of rematerializing just in front of a lone striker going for a big score or an isolated jack that was chasing down the ball. Their first match was a bloodbath and the opposing Isotek Angels team were consigned to their first major league defeat of the season. Since then, Teraton Teams and the associated *pop* of the teleportation devices have become part of the DreadBall legend.

Yes Jonahmaul, the completion pack give you prone markers in addition to the ones already in striker.

That Teraton team looks amazing! I'm not sure if I've ever wanted so many factions at once from a game! Gah!

Veer-Myn, Female Corp, Zzor, Asterians, Nameless, Zees, now these.... damnit I'm not Tony Stark!
