Thanks for all the kind comment guys...
I do plan on tackling the Exalted at some stage, need to picture him in my head first though... I like the look of the old metal Daemon Prince so that may well be my starting point.
I'm going to get my paint brushes out shortly & finish painting first claw, but in the mean time, here's my first 'Oblitorator' A heavy weapons team instead of the daemonic brute, to tie in with the fluff of the Nightlords a bit more. These guys will me mounted on a termie base once painted & will act in game as a normal Oblitorator.

Looking good dude, I do like the idea of having 2 marines with heavy weapons to represent an obliterator, seen a couple of guys do it. Works well with the less Chaotic/mutated of the legions
How are the kneeling legs to scale up? I will be tackling a pair on my next squad of corsairs and I'm kind of worried that by the time I have put spacers in both thighs and shins that they will be too big to fit on a standard base![]()
Not too bad if you cheat. You're correct in that extending both thighs & shins would leave the figure over extended, a wayaround this is only to extend the vertical parts of the leg. i.e right shin & left thigh. This gives you the extra hight required for True-Sclae & because the legs arn't together, the difference in each thigh & shin is pretty much invisible. I'm a bit of a scale perfectionist so for me to be happy with the result says alot.
Give it a go & let me know what you think

Ok a quick teaser update,
I've started work on my second squad... the bleeding eyes & upon a certain legendary captain of the 10th.
Anyway, heres my WIP of Lucoryphus... the model will hopefull come across more fluid when I put him on his base. My intention is to have him leaping off a wall or from the rafters... I'll post the finish article shortly (hopefully)

Oh & this guy...

I've tried to stick to ADB's discriptions of this one, took a bit of work on the sarcophagus, using an epic space marine for the centre-piece display... really looking forward to slapping on some pain now...
Any guesses as to his identity?

Lucho and Malch are looking awsome.
Lucoryphus is looking ace sir base adds alot to him, are you planning on making a few bleeding eyes to join him? go on you know you want to :P
Malcharion steals the show though, great conversion the idea of using an epic marine for the sarcophagus genius. Have you increased the height of the dread at all to tie in with your marines? if so how have you done about it. I'll be tackling a hellbrute before long and was thinking 1mm spacers in its thigh area and where the torso joins the legs should work.
keep up the good work![]()

Thanks for the comments guys,
Yes the Dreadnought has been 'truscaled' as well. It is originally the Blackreach model, but I beefed up the chasis with some black/white plastic card. same on the arms & legs. A Drop pod trubine was also inserted in the central axis to give a few mm extra height.
Alot of work, but I'm happy that I've managed to keep it to scale.
I also picked up a copy of Dark Vengeance & have been converting the Cultists to use as the crew of the 'Echo of Damnation'. SOme of them even fit my minds eye of octavia's retinue, so they'll be modelled like wise. One thing I hate is having identical models in my armies so with this in mind I've enjoyed cutting up the duplicate Cultists, allowing me to theme 'part' of the force to fit as Nightlord slaves, thus giving the 'whole' more cohesion.
Pictures to follow shortly
