Troublemaker Games - British Heavy Cruiser released.

    Hullo everyone,

It's time for our first resin release for our Steampunk battle game Timeline 300 - the British Heavy Cruiser.

At 16cm long is a whopper of a kit.

We'd love to hear feedback on this kit (please be kind on the painting, I'm not the best painter in the world!).

In other news, by early next month we should have another wave of new releases too:

    - Martian Flying Machines (resin)
    - German Armoured Infantry
    - German Revenants
    - British Field Guns

And we're also cutting steel on our very own pressure injected plastic bases sprue this week, puny laser cut bases are no longer awesome enough for us!

    I'm definitely intrigued.

Could you say more about what was the inspiration behind the model? You were clearly going for "land battleship" theme but I can't place the source for much of the detailing like the exhaust pipes or proud hull plates.

    Thanks.

Aesthetically, I was thinking of the British Nelson class battleships of World War 2 when I started the design (the tower certainly owes some parentage there), whilst also being influenced by the "tumblehome" design approach of the French Navy of the 1890's.

As to the specific detailing elements - the proud hull plates, the ironclad "banding", the various piping elements, those are more or less my own ideas... as original as one can be when making "Steampunk" designs at any rate.

Really loving this and the martian tripods. I've recently felt more of a draw to 10mm games than I would have expected. I've downloaded your trial rules for a good

    That's a most appreciated interest, PO. :-)

We're taking constant feedback on the rules from our customers/playtesters, and sometimes introducing new units based on player suggestions too (where we can afford the costs).
