I've always avoided playing this race in BFG due to the 'bad rep' they have accumulated within some 'factions' of the BFG community. But now it's time for me to 'come to grips' with the Necron. So I have scheduled a solo trial game tomorrow; IN Vs Necron (1350 pt fleets). I do have a few questions on the mechanics of the Necron Sepulchre, however, that I'd like to clear up before tomorrow's festivities. Maybe someone on this site can provide some answers. So here goes ....
Sepulchre. "Any ordnance within 20cm of the Sepulchre (except for non-boarding torpedoes) are destroyed on a 4+." Armada pg 73
Q1. Does this effect require that the Sepulchre has been 'unleashed' or fired this turn (Shooting phase), or is this an automatic (aura) effect of the Sepulchre whether it fires or not? Re; If I move a wave of Assault Boats into base contact with a Tombship during an Ordnance phase, crossing the 20cm 'barrier', does the Tombship roll to destroy this wave with the Sepulchre as I pass-through the 20cm barrier?
Q2. From the phrase except for non-boarding torpedoes I assume that the Sepulchre does not affect un-manned torpedoes/salvos. Is this correct?
Q3. Is the D6 roll made against an entire wave, or individually against each piece of ordnance in a wave (similar to the Star Pulse Generator)?
Thanks for your assistance.
Big Daddy Jim
