    FOW Late German Army.

Hi all. A short while ago I took part in my first FOW game at my local gaming club. I loved it and the models are fantastic. So after that I decided to thin down mu Imperial Guard and buy a load of FOW stuff. I decided on the late war era as I am familar with the history at that time, so to have some models with good amount of detail was a must. For people who know me I like armour, a good amount of it.

    Over the last two months with work in the mix I have painted the following;

    Panzergrenadier HQ
    2 Panzergrenadier Platoons
    3 Panzergrenadier 7.5cm PaK40 Anti tank guns
2 Gepanzerte heavy platoon with 4 MG42's each
2 Armoured Sd Kfz7/1 Quad 2cm anti craft gun platoon
    4 14cm sFH18 artillery battery
    3 Tiger I E
    3 Konigstiger (Henschel)
    3 Jagdpanthers
    3 Stug G

I still have some more to paint, mortars, artillery, panther A's and Panzer IV H to do.

I am happy with the camo work and have done only a slight amount of weathering as I am still getting used to using the pigments. But this will give me the confidence to go back and work on my imperial guard tanks.

Here are some photos. C&C welcome.

Howdy Silentsmoke ! FOW is probably the only other tabletop wargame I would play, and I have to say I really like your force, executed nicely ! Nice rock solid armour there that will take some dealing with but can dish out the pain - I have no idea of the game but I have a bit of an idea of WW2 Tanks

Shame you are no longer local as knowing someone who actually plays FOW might of driven me to get into it.

Interesting stuff. It reminds me of Epic 40k. I think that is just because the models are smaller than 40k\fantasy models. The painting is good, I like the colour scheme.

Had my first game which was good, learnt alot from it and was surprised to see how good Stug Gs were taking out Sherman tanks!

Thinking of adding the new plastic Panther G tanks to go along my panther A tanks.

    Nice looking army!

I didnt realise you was a member of South London Warlords. I have not been there myself but I was tempted to come along one evening as I only live down the road in Anerley. Are there many Flames Of War Players?

Hey mate, If your looking at getting into the tournement scene, the Reluctant Conscripts guys run great friendly tourneys that are a perfect place for beginners. It was a great place for me to learn last year Cheers,Ian
