I don't remember anything about a daemon flyer before a daemon codex. Also, (almost, furies) everything in the codex with wings already is a flyer. I'm also not counting seekers as they've got fins more than wings and jetbikes are pretty rad now.

By having the starter set come out in a different month? Just because it has "always" been one way, doesn't mean it always will.

In any case, the latest word is that both the CSM codex and Flyers will be out in August (see 2012 releases thread). I could see that happening, too.

Could be conversions, but I wouldnt be surprised if its a new kit.
There are two different FW Vulture kits, an old completely resin one and a new one that uses parts from the Valkyrie, are you sure they're not just the old version?

If there is a Craftworld Eldar flyer in the release it would probably be something new and original, not one of the Forge World flyers.

That said, I really like the name "Nightwind" for an Eldar... something.

Nightwind just sounds like something I suffer from on a daily basis

new flyers would be nice to see - fair to assume:
    New chaos one
    Harpy for nids
    void raven for deldar?

Remember, we can always look to other GW literature for the new flyers. While the most common eldar flyers have been the pheonix, nightwing, and vampire, in BFG the "Darkstar" was the class identified for eldar fighter tokens.

Most BFG fighters are far larger than 40K aircraft. Think Thunderhawk or Barracuda size for many of them.

Yeah I think some of the fighters have a crew of 4 or 5.

Don't you mean a nightly basis?

Tau, Eldar and Nid would make the most sense, at this point.

Tau and Eldar make a lot of sense because they don't have any codex rules available to them for flyers and releasing it would bring them more in line with 6th edition, filling in what is currently a massive hole in their codex list. I could see either a Harpy or Void Raven being a nice unit to release along side them closing out those ranges. GW doesn't always do what makes sense to me and as such until I see something more firm I'm holding strong to the expectation of disappointment topped with a slight dusting of hope. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see it be a Vendetta for IG, Storm Fang for Space Wolves and Storm Zealot for Black Templar.

Actually, "Stormfang" sounds rather nice... I'd be in favour if it wasn't so damn similiar to all the others

Oh? Then when do you think the Starter set will be released? August? October? Get real....

Well also bear in mind that your average Son of Russ disdains fancy schmancy stuff like teleportation and prefers to plummet to the earth in a drop pod and/or jump screaming from the hatch of a Thunderhawk.

Yeah! Real Space wolves hate small flying things (except for land speeders; they don't count). It's superheavy or nothing baby!
