    modeling fabius bile and co.

    Hi all,

I am lookng to add some of Fabius Bile's enhanced marines to my army, and I am looking for a way to make them stand out (chemical tubes, surgeries, etc). Anyone have any sources or ideas? I like Lucius' back pack, but I do not want to buy a dozen Lucius models just for the backpack. I have also checked Maxi-mini and Puppets War, but no luck.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Buy one and cast it? Small casting for personal use isn't frowned upon too badly by the high Lords of GW. And being such a small item you'd probably be able to greenstuff cast it without too much hassle.

I think you should just convert them. You can use plastic rods or guitar strings for piping/tubing, and thicker plastic rod cut down to size for the jars on their pack that holds the injection drugs or whatever. I think unhelmeted heads with the breathing aparatus covering the mouth would also look good, if you can acquire enough of them. Depending on your Greenstuff skills, you can also give them some stitched-together skin robes, capes, loincloths, whatever.

Alternatively, space marine apothecary backpacks come to mind. You might be able to find some on ebay, or trade for them.

Green stuff rolled out into thin sausages and left to set makes excellent smooth piping; you can bend it to a surprising degree, and superglue it into position.

I got some pretty thin bead wire from a local crafts shop which looks like cabling. Also, garden wire is readily available for use as pipes, cables etc.
Things like bare arms from WFB kits (e.g. Marauders) would be a good contrast, as would any of the bits from plastic Beastman Gors (to give them a more wild and muscular appearance).
