"Contact Us" problem

Well I'm hoping some of the experienced computer people may be able to help me with this problem.
I was trying to use the "Contact Us" option on more than one web site and I keep running into this problem
When I click on the words "Contact Us", Firefox opens a small window that states "Launch Application" and below that "This link needs to be opened with an application. Send to: " .
It gives me three options to choose:
Yahoo Mail
Gmail
Choose an application.

I don't have Gmail or Yahoo, but I have Charter Email service.
So what do I have to do to get it to work with my Email?

Check what the link says. It sounds like it's a "mailto" link, in which case just right click and copy shortcut, that will give you the email address and you can paste it into an email client of your choice. Alternatively you can try setting up your email with a client on your computer like Thunderbird. In times past Outlook Express would have done the job. Alternatively set up a gmail or yahoo account for this purpose only and have it forward to your main account to save you checking it all the time.
