Snipe and cover fire

So if I put Snipe on a jack with coverfire (lets say the Stormwall) then does the range of the cover fire jump from 10 to 14?

I makes sense to me, but then again I was told that snipe doesn't extend the range of the Thnuderhead's Pulse so this could be the same kind of thing.

Thoughts?

I think it does if coverfire has a RNG value. If not, then no. Depends on the wording though. I know it doesn't work on pulse or on the Phoenix's ability, as they affect models within a certain distance, as opposed to a range, if that makes any sense

I am fairly certain it works. The wording on covering fire is "Place a 3" template completely within this weapons range." If it said completely within 10" of this model then no it wouldent work, however as it reads I would say its all good to go.
