    Tyranids vs eldar 1500 vanguard strike

    Hi guys, this is only my second game of 40k, so i'm still sucking at the moment and need to figure out what works best.

    Nice rep, a bit tough on the elves that

    You dont have to change all your farseers powers so keeping say guide, fortune or doom might help

    Nice report, good to see that nids can still cut it in 6th despite the bad press that they constantly keep getting! Although, not too sure on the mixed list build, it did seem to do the job.
    Fast vehicles are a great choice for getting in the quick, but you need that supporting fire, the dragons can do it, but I just thought you needed some supporting/covering fire to help them out.

    Thanks for the good comments. And yer, I do need to tinker with my list about as its a bit disappointing at the moment.

    Hey,

    Nice report, very detailed

    Few things that I take against 'Nids ALL the time and have never lost:

    1. Keep the fire dragons. What you were doing with them was great. Try to knock down their target's wounds until 3-4 until you send them in though. That should make for a one round kill.

    2. Keep the avatar and add a wraithlord with a warlock. Together they will destroy any big fex or hive tyrant with minimal wound losses. Failsafe.

    3. A farseer with mind war is always helpful against major tyranids. Up to 5 wounds with 1 psychic power?! Yes please!!

    4. Drop the guardians. Dire avengers are useful enough to take gaunts or genestealers out if you retreat and shoot so guardians are a waste of points.

    5. Keep scatter lasers. Starcannons and bright lances have tiny wound rates and are just not worth it.
