Am I the only one who don't really mind the marauder sculpts? I thought they were brilliant beside the old stooped chaos warriors, and after so many years they seem to still fit in beside the newer horsemen models. If anything I'll rather they add on to the current chaos warriors kit rather than have a new marauder kit. Having all warrior models with the cloak flowing the same direction and the same foot forward is just so booorrriiinnng.
You think so? The Daemons look good, sure, but the Chaos Warriors are... effective, but still rather lacklustre compared to some other armies' models out there. I thought the last Knights were horrendous... They didn't rank up at all and the older sculpts looked far more menacing (bar the horses).Chaos just seems to bring out the best in the studio team. I am not sure what that says about them.

Just yesterday I noticed how big my chaos army is, taking three shelves in a cabinet. Now, if those rumors are true, I need to buy AT LEAST the new shrine kit, a box or two of marauders (always hated the actual ones), a box of new DOs (having only 3 of them), the new monstrous options for chariots, Egrimm Van Horstmann (i was thinking of converting an elf dragon, but I will wait for the new model), Throgg of course, Valkia if she's good looking, the forsaken kit.........oh, and the monstrous cavalry, hoping they will not make a new big monster too (or they don't make the Shaggot a good choice, cause I don't have one).........I hate you GW guys.......
Is it not possible that the new big monster kit might be Kholek Sun-eater?

Thank you for the collection of rumours, some sound really fantastic! I'm keen to dip my toes into Warhammer Fantasy and seeing as the Dark Elves aren't due for an update for a while Chaos look like an exciting alternative, can't wait to hear more! Thanks Harry.

Juggernaut Khorne Knights would be a sweet monstrous cav unit. Wow I am really excited about all these new models, especially the plastics.
I've still not painted my mono Khorne WoC - I will be thankful for a Valkia mini so long as it's not hideous. I have 80-odd marauders so probably won't update unless I can 'sprinkle' a few around existing units. Warshrine will be the dogs gonads I hope :-)

Wont happen, unfortunately. I inherited a gigantic chaos army from my brother, which i have finished collecting through the years while painting some, but i can hardly get myself to use them due to its simpleness
Any word on what magic items are in? I've got a few I'm rooting for.

Isn't Diaz the goto guy for GW's female sculpts these days? I doubt he'd fluff them up. There's also the possibility of Godwin too, my reasoning being that it was him that did the jugger rider and may wish to do another chaosy character or 2. Fingers crossed for either

Archaon has been redone and his story will be the backbone of the storyline for the new book. It will look at his re-emergence from the chaos waste and the gathering of another Army to march upon the Empire.
The book will also focus more on several of the larger tribes. Not a huge focus, just some background stories.
We will see a real Germanic feel with the book, in regards to the savage marauding tribes.
There will also be renewed focus on the Chaos Gods and independent heroes for each one of them. People will be able to tailor their Army to run on a single God easier than before. (Birdy via Harry)

I vagually rememeber a description I was given of the Dragon Ogres a long time ago. It sounded like the bodies were a lot more solid and stocky more rhino that dragon ... The description reminded me of a zoat more centaur like with the ogre part of the body very upright and at right angles to the back of the lower body ... quite different from the current models. Also wearing armour that made them look much more part of the Warriors of Chaos army. (Harry)
