Way too many Greenskins. I do not know how many, something between 400 and 600 I'd say. And that's now, I'm waiting for the Mantic Kickstarter Goblins...(another 200+ models). There are also some Ogres left, but not that many. I won't buy anything new for a long time, the Ogre army needs finishing and I think I will have some Greenskins left in 30-40 years for my grandchildren to paint. After the Greenskins, we can talk about buying another army or more shinies.

After scouting around in the garden shed (somewhere the girlfriend will never look!) I found;

2 SM battle forces, not even touched
landraider terminus, minus las cannons
tau battle force, half assembled
IG battle force, half assembled
3 leman russ, ebay wrecks
WHFB ogres, whole 2k+ army
and a big cardboard box of impulse buys from various armies that was so full the bottom fell out when i picked it up.

Thanks to this thread I've decided i'm not buying anything else til at least next year.

I have many more than 250 minis to paint, but that also includes a great many historical ancients figures too. I have a Republican Roman army, a Late Roman/Arthurian army, a Greek Hoplite army and a Macedonian army all in various stages of paint.

I also have a Khorne WH40K army about half finished, but it also includes some major vehicle and mini conversions that I had to set aside while other stuff gets done.

I've reached the point that I likely won't be buying any more stuff for a few months unless it's a rediculously good deal, and by that I mean pennies on the dollar.

I might have, er, underestimated in my previous post. On a trip to the loft I noticed that I have 'spare' escher for my guard army in excess of 35 models, at least 50 models 'just to paint', the core of a genestealer cult force I'd forgotten about and my epic tyranid army (hopefully not counting each component of an infantry stand as a separate model... ).
I also stumbled upon Karl Franz on deathclaw (metal) Eltharion on stormwing (metal) and the original wood elf forest dragon all BNIB.

I was hoping you'd find this thread Is there any chance you could post either a) a group pic of everything so far painted (sorry if this has already been done, I am only up to page 170ish on your mega-plog) b) everything you still have to paint, or c) If you have a wide angle lense, a pic of both?

I have been following the thread for a while (and really enjoying it) ..... but when I read the numbers in the pole I decided this thread was not really aimed at people like me.

a) Everything painted so far would not fit in one picture never mind everything I own.
b) Everything I still have to paint is stashed in boxes, draws, cupboards ... anywhere where the wife can't find it ... OUCH!! ....

c) A wide angle lens won't cover it. The models I own cover the 4 walls of a large hobby room. (The biggest room in the house .... how I got that one past the wife i will never know? ) Wall to wall shelves, shelves all around the base of two big gaming tables filled with stuff .... hell my trades pile is bigger than most peoples collection ... it is completely bonkers how much stuff I have got.

I would take some picture but I am not sure I am ready to share with the world my level of insanity.

The only thing that makes the sitution a bit better is that I have got more painted than most and am still painting a fair bit of stuff from time to time.

Most of my stuff is painted (my old stuff to a questionable standard) which is ~3000 points of Woc, Empire, HE and 4-5000 points of DoC, Dwarfs and Orcs & Goblins (mainly goblins).

My unpainted stuff is probably under 100 models which is my new Vampire Counts & Dark Elves: mainly ghouls, Kemmler, some of the old mounted necromancers I dug out, Cold Ones & Repeater xbows. Also got a Redemptionist gang I never got around to finishing from my Necromunda days

Disregarding the Skaven I have to paint (around 120 or Clanrats/slaves, Plague Furnace and Doomwheel to finish, numerous other bits and bobs), and looking only at my newly started Daemons:

10 "half started" Bloodletters, 10 "basecoat only" Bloodletters, Pink Horrors, Daemonettes, 5 "basecoat only" Seekers, 3 "Basecoat only" Flamers. Not too bad really, but once my bonus comes through there'll be another 30 or so models on top of that. Not bad considering I've been collecting Daemons for like a week and a half!

Perhaps you could set it all outside some day and convince Google Earth to take a new satellite picture. Then we could all try to estimate from the size of the pile.

Count me out.. I'm in big enough trouble as is, without trying to beat you.. I think that trying to beat you might actually hasten my demise... If nothing else the wife might probably kill me..

When we moved in together a few years back I brought all my stuff.. She said, well yes of course.. She had seen parts of it.. I then had twelve moving boxes of stuff.. When this dawned on her I received a more cautious, well yes...

Now I even have to use the kitchen cabinets.. I attribute this to having to little storage space and refuce to acknowledge any hints, however subtle, that I should have to many minis..

But she puts up with it and I love her for it..

I've got:
Fully(ish) painted Necron, Space Marine, Guard and Tyranid armies (and assorted 'Specialist Games' stuff).
Half-painted CSM and (v. small) Empire
Almost entirely unpainted Dark Eldar and Lizardmen armies.

I'm honestly toying with the idea of ebaying the CSMs and DEldar because my miniatures cabinet is nearly full and I don't know when I'm going to a) paint or b) play with them.

But almost nothing is based.
