No unpainted models becuase I only buy what I can paint at that moment.
I'm screwed for eternity, I bought into reapers kickstarter..
Yeah, Kickstarter has been getting a lot of my money, then providing a lot of minis. Sedition Wars, the Reaper Bones, Dwarven Adventures, Dreamforge......there's a lot of great minis coming out of independent companies, for good prices.
Edit: I forgot Red Box and Low Life.

This is warhammer. There should be a hell of a lot more pain flying around.
Currently working on:
Kustom Meganobz!
Sacred Spawning of Chotec (Lizardmen)
That's a definite truism. I am testing he other bit of that legend where as long as i have minis to paint, I will never grow old. And by the logic I am immortal!
I think I have over 30,000 unpainted minis in four different countries! I look takes a little like papa nurgle, where ever I live little men appear from nowhere and infest cupboards and dark storage spaces.....
Some of which are quantified by weight rather than pieces. Damn those old GW staff discount schemes.
I know for example I have over 700 nurglings. I intended to order all snotlings ever made times 10 or something, but they send me nurglings instead.

I'm currently going through the process of getting rid of as much of my un-wanted, un-painted crap as I can. I have Nids, Chaos SM, Tau, High Elves and god knows what else in my Oubliette. So I'm limmiting myself to two armies each for 40k and Fantasy in the vain hope that I may actualy get something finisshed. Currently trying to get my Guard in order but I'm such a procrastinator. Dose anyone know if starting a Plog actualy helps to focuss their painting?

I'd have to number my unpainted minis in the thousands.
That's simply result of collecting for over 30 years. Thankfully there was a somewhat lengthy break in the middle or it would have been a lot worse, but I've been adding madly in the last several years to make up for that.
Once all the kickstarters I've backed start to ship... Well that'll be nearing the 1000 number all on their own.
I think I have around 300-350 urnreleased/limited release miniatures that need to have some paint in them.
Unfortunately I am blind of one eye ; so I cannot paint myself, and I have to ask - and paid - for painters. So, when I have the choice between ; have one miniature painted ; or add another unreleaed miniature to my collection..... well, I add another miniature to my collection.
I am Interested in any unreleased citadel miniatures, please feel free to PM me if you have anything interesting.

Does make you wonder why we keep on buying all this stuff though. I've moved away from GW over the years, but I still buy bits and pieces. It was only when I started to unpack the storage boxes that I realised how much I had (and even more worryingly, what I had!) left to assemble and paint.
I don't even game with them, just like to see them painted. I think I've got a problem![]()

Yes they do, but the Tales are where you want to go for a real whipping and success. A plog keeps track of your efforts and will help with a more personal touch and contact. A tale is where you pledge to paint a certain amount and people actually hold you accountable to that pledge (more like you do so yourself with a perceived public presure). Combine it with a plog and you are set to go.
My crowd funding is luckily limited by refusing to use Kickstarter. Only about a eighty miniatures there for me (not counting Warploque Miniatures pre orders which essentially do the same), but I have been updating my armies with missing units and am almost done. My true wants are getting quite limited, apart from adding a huge bulk of dwarfs from Avatars of War.
This year the number of bought miniatures is at about 250, next year I hope to stay under the 120 and dwarfs which I shall not count.

1 bone giant
2 catapults
9 ushabtis
1 necrosphinxs
2 scorpions
All the heroes
30 guardians
90 skelletons
14 chariots
4 carrions
Thats it,
I have somewhere around 48 Necron models, 20 Tau, 3 dreadnoughts, 2x the Island of Blood Skaven, A dev squad, a predator and a drop pod, A terminator captain and I will soon be adding Dark Vengeance to the TDL. So far as getting it all painted is concerened, I'm boned!![]()
For my Space Marines I have about 200 or more, but they lack tanks, landspeeders, bikes, drop pods and air support.
For my High Elves I have about 200 models made up of 3 units of 50 Seaguard, 2 units of 10 Reavers, 2 unitsof 10 Swordmasters and some Shadow Warriors. I intend to add some White Lions, Eagles, a dragon and some heroes.
For my Dwarfs I have about 1,500 models not including over 50 reapers models and 200 Mantic which I a not sure if I'm keeping. I have plans to increase the size to about 2,600. At the moment I could field about 30,000 points without breaking a sweat if there are no duplicate unit caps so I can field my 39 cannons and 13 organ guns. I even have percentages worked out for core, special and rare; although full command and banner upgrades are not included. At 2,600 it would close to 50,000 points.
None of it has been painted in the 6 years I have been collecting them.

P.S. Forgot the shoebox full of Lord of the Rings models, probably about 200-300 some painted ages ago. Also I am not sure what I was thinking when I bought 50 of the Dwarf ships from Dreadfleet, no idea what I am going to do with them. Before I forget I also have about 100ish ships from Battlefleet gothic not including 90 fighters.

Never knock on Death's door, ring the doorbell and run away... he hates that.
