How much stuff have you got to paint?

Got a fair bit to paint, 2,000 points of wood elves.
2500 points of chaos warriors.
2500 points of imperial guard infantry.
another 2500 points of imperial guard, chaos this time.
1500 points of eldar.
1200 points of dark eldar.
and about 800 points of minotaurs space marines.

It's not like i don't paint anything either, i'm always working on models. It's just when ever i pull a regiment or platoon out to paint as a batch i have no idea what to start with.
So i go back to painting random models for the armies.

I prefer gaming and converting. I'm a pretty good painter, but I'm also a perfectionist so it takes me an age to even paint 1 figure.

I have three fully painted armies, but I always have more stuff to paint.

I usually don't have as much stuff awaiting painting as I have right now -around 100 minis of various types (troops & vehicles), but I bought a bunch of stuff before the prices went up. Of course, I better get a batch of this done before the new CSM codex comes out, as I'm sure I'll need some more new stuff when that happens.

To much unpainted models kills my enthusiasm. Or rather the sense of achievement with every painted model/unit becomes invisible, because it's just a tiny fraction compared to what's left on the shelves. Been there a lot...

Today I've got a unit of ten death korps, a death rider, a couple of deathkoptas and five metal kommandos. Then there's always the bunch of old models lying around. Cadian Stormtroopers, black reach orks and such.

I have a fair amount of Tau, guard and a few Gray Knights to paint. Now when I buy new models I make sure to get at least three colors on them before they see any action. I've found this to be a good motivator.

After reading the whole thread I can say that I'm quite sane when it comes to buying new miniatures. Of course I had to vote 250+ but there are not much more than that. A few days ago I managed to count more or less what is painted, so here are the numbers of done miniatures that I own (based and painted):

95 IG bodies
24 GK PA and Terminators
51 SoB (both PA and inquisitorial/priest stuff)
87 SM both Pa and Terminators

and 14 vehicles in general

From things that need to be done:

Dark Vengeance set
2 Vendettas
Shadowsword/Stormlord
Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer
Exorcist
3-4 Dreadnaughts
Deamon Prince
A couple dozens of bodies

Not that much compared to some of You.
