    Circle Starter 35 pts

    Hey guys,

Just getting started in circle and I want to get to 35 pts with Kaya the Wildborne before branching off in into other casters. I'm trying to stick with her theme list. Is this a good 35 pts? Any suggestions?

Kaya the Wildborne +6 (+2" deployment zone)
    Warbeasts
    Argus 4
    Argus 4
    Feral Warpwolf 9
    Gnarlhorn Satyr 8
    Units
Wolves of Orboros (6) 4 (now with advance move)
Reeves of Orboros (6) 5 (able to place a 4" AoE forest)
    Solos
    Morraig 5
    Druid Wilder 2

This pretty much gives me all the benefits of her theme force (except for maxing out on Warwolves, which I've not taken.) I took a wilder for Warbeast fury control. She will also give me the benefit of flinging out the Gnarlhorn's Animus if I feel I need the extra 2" charge on another warbeast (such as a feral warpwolf which, when coupled with warp speed gives him a 13" charge.)

    So once again, any thoughts?

I would consider replacing one Argus with a Gorax for access to it's Primal animus. Otherwise looks OK.

Any thoughts on which Warlock to get next that will work well with the models listed above? I will expand further once I have a second Warlock, but I don't want to get in to Constructs too early on.

Thanks for the advice on the Gorax. That will be a later purchase (since I'm currently working to a tight-ish budget and I'm not overly keen on the model.)

The list really lacks any form of reliable heavy-hitter. Morraig can put out one powerful swing if he can combine a charge with the Flank rule, but other than that you're gonna have a really tough time killing enemy heavies.
2 Arguses (Argii?) are pretty far from optimal, but if you're just starting out with the game I can understand wanting to buy the battle box due to its cost.
The list really needs a Warpwolf stalker though, or at least a Gorax to bump up the Feral's damage potential a bit.
Reeves are generally known for not being all that good, they have a bunch of cool special rules but they all contradict each other, and you pay a hefty point cost for them. If you want some shooting I'd suggest Bloodtrackers or Woldstalkers instead.

As for a second warlock, Grayle's theme is similar to Kaya's, so if you like themes you could go with him. Kromac loves living warbeasts as well, and he usually wants a shooting unit along.
If you're unsure you can always go with Mohsar or either Krueger, they work well with pretty much anything in Circle. Krueger the Stormwrath is exceptionally flexible, since he brings a lot of infantry-clearing options himself you can pretty much go with all beasts if you want, but he also has some nice spells for helping any infantry you might take.

Generally theme forces are pretty weak so unless you're really fond of it for some reason I'd recommend against it.
