Mordheim games online, also critique on warband idea

Hi all i am completely new to mordheim, but saw this on the 40l online forums and was wondering if anyone would be willing to try it out? i want to play a few games to get used to the system and see how the warband i have come up with shapes up. Here is the link to what i found
    http://www.40konline.com/index.php/topic,97526.0.html

Also here is the current warband idea middenheim mercenaries

    Captain ( hammer and axe)
    Champion (double handed weapon)
    Champion (spear and buckler)
    Youngblood (axe)
    youngblood (spear and buckler)
    2 x Swordsman (2 swords)
    3x Marksman (bow and club)
    Warrior (halberd)
    Warrior (hammer and buckler)

So any interest in playing online or any comments on the warband would be greatly appreciated!

I've played with 7th edition warhammer the same way, (using paint and a dice roler) the only problem being you could premesure and you had to understand Pythagoras sometimes!

however if your wanting to start up a online mordheim campaian I'd be willing to play, even be willing to adaprt it to 8th eddition fantasy!

Might be cool - is the idea to use vassal?
Dark Eldar - Kabal of the Posion Tongue
Salamanders - II Company 'Hammers of the Forge'
Blood Angels - V Company 'Knights of Baal'
The Blighted Ones - Deathguard Septuncis
    Southampton Sluggaz

The link includes a ruler you can print off to use against the screen to avoid pythagoras! And yeah a campaign would be a good idea if the interest was out there! Could do with a few pointers first though, like if that warband is likely to survive its first brush with danger :P

And no vassal have removed the mordheim module along with every other GW based one, if you follow the link you will see the system, run over email using paint to make the maps and stuff like that, looks like a decent alternative though, requires a bit more effort, but again the link takes you to a fairl in depth page where he made maps that cover multi storey buildings.

So i have been thinking i would really like take part in a campaign, want to get involved, however dont feel as a complete newcomer i am suitable to run it, but if no one else wants to i will do it, would need some suggestions, that or i just work off the rulebook suggestions, so anyone who is interested maybe state it here and we can get the ball rolling on this! also would really appreciate someone to play a few taster games against with the warband above

Another thought (on summer break from uni so i have plenty of time for thinking) The nature of this online system allows the game to be played without any minatures so if anyone wants to try a new warband out, or try a new combination of an existing one, this is the ideal opportunity to do so, really hope this campaign can get enough attention, just post on here that you are interested and the warband you will be using

right well I'd surgest doing it on a forum (warseer should do fine), I'll see if I can get a copy of the books online and then go from there, its just I'd also like to play but am happy to 'gm' it as well if you like
if you prefer to have a sperate 'gm' to player I'd prefer to play

    Forum suggestion sounds good
As for the gm i dont know what the job actually entails or the benefits of having it as a player / non player, however from where i stand i dont see why everyone cant play, its all about enjoyment!

Oh well i dont see any reason why the GM cant also be a player, as long as any issues regarding games they are in can be refered to someone else
