Deamons then will be this months release.
Wow, I'm impressed. Almost everyone thought CSM was next. Well, it's not like Cultists can't function without the new codex, they will have a stat sheet and thus can be used in the starter set. Good luck getting me to buy the damned thing till the Codex is out though. If this is true and GW is not trolling CSM players, then sources that have said August may have lost a good deal of credibility since GW is now able to keep secrets to where they can pull the wool over their eyes. At this point I'm so angry and dissapointed, I'd rather set my money on fire than buy any of that Daemon crap or the box set if they really do pull this and push back CSM till after the box set.
Of course I could be wrong and GW is indirectly referring to CSM by putting Daemons which are also chaos oriented up.
It isn't necessarily Daemons. It could be CSM. It might be CSM and daemons in one book again as was rumored a while back. we will know for certain in 5 days.
God had to give Jack Bauer immunity on the sixth commandment "Thou shalt not kill". If he hadn't, Jack would've considered God to be a terrorist and God knows what happens to terrorists.
Jack and Jill went up the hill. Only Jack came down. Jill was a *********** terrorist.
Apparently in the next WD to come out it's full of Daemons, so this teaser video seems to confirm that. GW are doing a pretty good job diverting the final product releases and avoiding any leaks, it's almost exciting to see something different getting confirmed a week away from release. I just hope that the release will have mention of the coming CSM and Starter Box.
6th Edition W/L/D Record.
Eldar - 2/2/1.
Dark Angels - 5/2/1.
Chaos - 1/0/0.
There's actually 6 mate. I've just played the video in slow motion and there's
1. Bloodletter
2. Something I can't identify... Looks like a giant daemon head facing right, with weird tubes coming off the back of it? This flickers up at :21 and is nowhere near as bright as the other images, so I can't identify it. It *kinda* looks like the 'maw' of the Hellcannon, but with eyes (not suggesting it is one, just what the head reminds me of)
3. Beast of Nurgle
4. Pretty sure Plaguebearers
5. Daemonettes.
6. I assume it's a Daemon Prince.
welp, I also saw this today:
This little tidbit is doing the rounds:
"So in next month's White Dwarf there is going to be a leaflet with updates for Codex Daemons and for Daemons of Chaos in Fantasy.
Some changes to old units, Flamers are now only S4 in Fantasy and some units have had point changes.
Also new units - Slannesh massive chariot (2D6 +1 impact hits) and other weird chariot thing in one kit. The other thing looks and acts kind of like a mobile meat lawnmower. This is in both games and acts like a chariot in 40K.
Soul Grinders are coming to Fantasy! Have T7 6 wounds and a load of upgrades for its shooting. The model (40K kit) in the White Dwarf and leaflet was on the same base as the giant goblin spider.
Also new models for Plague Bearers (really really nice, some have fly heads), Screamers (look similar but with lots of eyes), Flamers (similar) and Nurglings.
Plus a new beastman shaman."
So the September release for 40k Chaos would seem likely....or may October if box set get Sept slot.
This is a real shakeup if true. The last points change I remember is the update to Dark Elves in 6th Ed Fantasy. The Soulgrider model really doesn't fit the Warhammer universe....the defiler legs kill it for me. I wonder whether they found it in the cave behind the forest where they found the Demigryphs.
I'm taking some of this with a pinch of salt at the moment.

At :23 right at the end, the big Daemon off the front of the Chaos Daemons Army Book flashes up for a split second, I only noticed it when playing the video in slow-mo :P. Thinking about it now it might be a Bloodthirster rather than a Daemon Prince on the Chaos Daemons AB cover?
Im all for new daemons, but i want chaos space marines more....guess this could mean anything so i shouldnt worry. More and more GW seem to have found a use for the internet....
"Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules." - Walter Sobchak, The Big Lebowski.
"I believe a Tervigon is an old, old wooden ship, used during the Civil War era." - Spider-Pope
"Wierd black one" "Soulgrinder from W40k Codex cover",
Well, after playing it through slow; What it looks like to me is some sort of Dragon... A mechanical Dragon perhaps... A 'fly'ing, machanical dragon perhaps...![]()
To reject the Tau'va is to follow damnation.
No flying mechanical dragon in this release I'm afraid. It sounded good but it's not in the White Dwarf. I don't have it by the way. I just know people who have.

The Dragon is an October release alongside the CSM codex. Sorry guys.
New beastman shaman? Cool!
Also new plague bearers, it's about damn time!
I'm actually excited for this, despite my raging undying hatred for daemons. A WD pack of ruleschanges is fairly neat, even if the soulgrinder definately doesn't strike me as a fantasy model.. at all!
At least it's something different from knowing 'more or less' what's gonna come out in a few months (with absolute confirmation a week or two before); I definately did not expect this at all.
