Not if they release the 29th. Same day as October WD

Which would technically make it an October release. And at that point they might as well wait another week and take preorders like they always do.

The video is very nice indeed. I wonder if the Crimson Slaughter will get transfers for their badge.

I could imagine FW doing them.

What annoys me, is that the Crimson Slaughter's warband iconography is really damn close to the art I had a friend do for my own DIY warband.

That way GW has there big GD release and it would fit with the rumours of chaos being out in sept. Anybody think that makes sense?

If you look at the back cover of WD for the most recent issues, it states an "on sale <date>" Sept does not. Coincidence?

IIRC, last year they held back White Dwarf for a week so that it was released after Games Day (which was all about Dreadfleet). It wouldn't surprise me if this became a regular occurence.

The mantra is "freedom to chose what you want is good" is just so annoying when items that really should be available are simply not.

If I do really have freedom to choose, I choose berzerker terminators.
Not a "almost" or a "lite" but exactly that.

People deride 3.5 as a "straightjacket" book, but at least you had the choice to wear it or not.
    thank you.

Maybe a set of say 6-7 on the starter decal set. If they do a starter decal set, since it is Dark Angels heavy, and they may have molded insignia More to scrape off with a knife before I use them in my force.

What bothers me about that "back" of the WG is that you see the cover on the other side, meaning it is the back of the magazine, but not the inside back cover that previews next issue.

I'm still in shock at Hastings drop of the next 4 out of 5 new releases will be Chaos!

Along with Forge World's release in Nov (approx?) for it's first Horus Heresy campaign book means the rest of 2012 will be a very EXPENSIVE year for us Chaos players!

Time to sell off the last of my Chaos Dwarfs, Vampire Counts, Tomb Kings and random monsters!

It might be but isn't it odd that there are only images of Chaos in there? Nothing of Dark angels?
Perhaps its not for the starter...

The blog post that went with the video said there will be more over the next few days so I would expect a DA one and then one having battle scenes as well.

The DA one leaked last week (IIRC) and was quickly pulled

    About time too.
CSM should be Oct with WoC following in Nov and Hobbit in Dec.
I'd say DA for Jan unless they throw a curve ball and release them alongside CSM in Oct...

Actually I believe that WD this year comes out on the 22nd of September, ie the day before GD : UK.

.. so it could tease/preview the chaos codex, and then we can see the cover, new models etc etc at the Uk event perhaps ...

This isn't exactly unprecedented. The Summer of Chaos was a big deal some years ago and on the fantasy side chaos updates have often come in short order by necessity. Every so often GW remembers Chaos is the big deal not necrons or tyranids.
