Given we've already seen 2 plastic versions of the current Daemonettes, I wouldn't hold my breath on the chariot ones looking different.

So the old metal daemons being “finecasted” includes The Great Unclean One. This makes me a bit sad as that is such a terrible model.

With that said I have a great alternative to that model already (and there is always the Daemon prince of Nurgle as well) but WOW do I wish he would have just gotten a resculpt. (And honestly not even that. The problem with the Great Unclean on is just that its head face is HORRIBLE. It would take so little work to make that mini amazing.

Why in that jpg, they put existing models getting finecasted as NEW, while others are just a relaunch, being the same thing (this is, existing models with the finecast treatment). GW never ceases to amaze me with their 5 year old child merchandising tricks.

Would have liked to have seen the character greater daemons but I guess they are coming later.
I've got more than enough PB but if the new ones are nice I'll pick some up.
Having just finished some flamers I don't know if I'll pick those up and I'll ahve to wait for someone to convince me how great screamers are.
Interesting to see if there are any design changes of whether they are just plastic versions of older models.
Cannot wait for the finecast daemons. The flamers I got were top notch and wouldnt mind a finecast kairos.

Nice. No where are the rules /codex to make them playable? Looking forward to the white dwarf.

I hope it's because they are bigger than the current models.

Can someone correct me if I am wrong, but being 'finecasted' just means 'we ran out of metal stock, and you dont get a new kit, so its finecast now, enjoy'.

GW doesnt actively do any work to finecast anything, its just dumping in resin instead of metal, no? Well, and upping the price just because, cheaper material = higher cost...amirite?!?

No. The master is the same, the mold is different. Hence the sprues.

Well, if Bloodcrushers were 25€ instead of 43€ you might have a point... unless you were pointing out that they can't be as complicated/big as the Bloodcrushers at that price point.

Also a relaunch of Old Metal Deamons into Finecast
Sigh, I read this and thought for a second they might have come to their senses and were going to do the Diaz Deamonettes direct only like everyone wants.

I personally really like the new Deamonettes so will be happy if the new chariots occupants will be along the same lines as the current Deamonettes and Seekers thus keeping to a consistent look and feel

Plastic Plaguebearers, Plastic Screamers, Plastic Flamers, Plastic Seeker Chariot, Plastic Nurglings, Finecast Blue Scribes, and some sort of limited Exalted Slaaneshi Chariot thing.

    So...yeah...lots of new stuff.

I just don't understand the logic of this month' releases.

You have a new game system rulebook and then release a largely finecast wave and possible WD rules for daemons, not even the new flyers to capitalise from the buzz surrounding the flyer rules in the rulebook.

Surely daemons would have been a logical release for the month between chaos marines and warriors of chaos. Considering the speculation over the release of starter set and that many of the models are finecast surely they could have fitted them in that month.

When the reality sets in of the implication of a new WD list this will also be a frustrating release for daemon players. A new official list, for which existing players will either need the new WD or a no doubt soon to be released IPad digital download.

    Re: Confirmed August Releases

Well, at least the rules will be in WD! Imagine the frustration if the rules were only released as iPad download.

Didn't this happen in WFB around the release of 8th? 8th came out and then there wasn't much to support it for ages.
    ... and then I won.

These things better be significantly different than the current models to warrant plastic. They don't have any options to warrant sprues unless they come with a ton of bits that can be matched to the new CSM line to help with Plague Marines, Thousand Sons etc.

    Re: Confirmed August Releases

Surprised that the GDs aren't finally getting an update. If they're being finecasted then that suggests they won't be getting new models for a while.

I remember when the current GDs were released individually - they were good for the time although not everyone is a fan of the style. Given how definitive they are I'm surprised they haven't been updated since then.
WDL record with my Swooping Hawk themed Eldar list:-

    W: 2,836
D: 2 (I felt sorry for my opponents and started firing at my own units)
L: 1 (I played against myself using my undefeated footslogging Fire Warrior list and lost)
