I play mostly a Daemon Prince army, but I was reading the chariot rules and now I am seriously considering running with chariots. In particularly I was thinking about Skull taker in a chariot, Doing a chariot sweep attack with his weapon then turning and charging a unit. With him he would make quick work of almost any small (troop) unit. Opinions welcomed. On what you think.
Currently I am running 2300 pt: (have won 5 of 5 games with this so far)
HQ:
333 Fateweaver 333 (he flies with the princes, Vector strikes then flames)
270 Bloodthirster w/ Might (Tank hunter)
160 Skulltaker on Chariot (optional was thinking maybe switch him with defense line and quad gun)
Heavy:
215 Daemon Prince Wings, MoT, U Str, Breath of Chaos (Flies with Fate, Vector Strike then flame)
215 Daemon Prince Wings, MoT, U Str, Breath of Chaos (Flies with Fate, Vector Strike then flame)
215 Daemon Prince Wings, MoT, U Str, Breath of Chaos (Flies with Fate, Vector Strike then flame)
160 Soul Grinder w/ Phlegm (my version of artillery, hangs back and blasts stuff to death)
160 Soul Grinder w/ Phlegm (my version of artillery, hangs back and blasts stuff to death)
Elite:
105 3x Flammers (suicide squad, drop then near terminators flame them and then die)
105 3x Flammers (suicide squad, drop then near terminators flame them and then die)
Troop:
85 5x Horrors (near enemy obj holder)
85 5x Horrors (near enemy obj holder)
75 5x Plague Bearers (long distance Obj holder)
112 8x Daemonettes (troops roams near my obj holders and attacks anything that gets too close)
2295 Total
I have been running w/ the flying jerks tactic w/ breath of chaos right after we fly over them. I was also looking for opinions on what others are doing with their daemon armies and of course am I playing them right? As for Skulltaker as long I got the charge he has killed All troop units I have run him into so far. Should there be anything other then dreadnoughts that I should avoid, or should I take him out entirely?
