    Tau + Necrons 1500Pts

    40K Army: Tau
    Hi All,
I've been thinking of allies for Tau. I assume that a lot of people are taking armies with good cc to make up for our weakness but I'm thinking more about focusing on a pure shooty army. I mostly play against Nids (Horde)/ Orks (vehicle heavy) and Blood Angels (but i'm not that worried about them) so I really want to focus on torrent fire. Hence this list. Let me know what you think.

    HQ
    Shas'el -72
    - Flamer, TL Missile Pod
    Overlord -135
    - Staff of Light, Sempiternal Weave, Resurrection Orb
    DespairTek -30
    - (will join Deathmarks)

    Elite
    Crisis Suit -53
    - TL Missile Pod, Targeting Array
    Crisis Suit -53
    - TL Missile Pod, Targeting Array
    Deathmarks -95

    Troop
    10x FireWarrior -100
    10x FireWarrior -100
    10x Kroot -94
    - 4x Kroot Hound
    10x Necron Warrior -245
    - Ghost Ark
    10x Necron Warrior -130

    Fast Attack
    5x Canoptek Scarabs -75

    Heavy Support
    Broadside Battle Suit -75
    -SMS, Multi-tracker
    Hammerhead - 150
    - Railgun, 2x Burst cannon
    Annihilation Barge - 90

    This comes to 1497pts
The Necron Warriors and Ghost ark are going to be kept together with the Overlord to get the most out of the Resurrection Protocol/ Orb and Repair Barge, Elites and Heavy support will target their Marked target then start picking off threats, with heavy support will take out the rest of the big units. Hopefully leaving my troops to rain down on the hordes.

Think i would be better to have 1 giant unit of 20, warriors, insted 2x 10..
Else than that i think its gonna be a fun list to try!

Why would 1 large unit be better than two small? Isn't there more flexability when splitting them? Mind you, I intend you to keep one unit on the barge behind the first unit. They will jump out when the first unit drops.
