"As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely just a result of wishful thinking." Pete Haines
It's a turret. A TURRET! Got it? There is no such thing as a turrent.
So changes to Shield Guard, Back Swing and a few other things.
Saeryn's feat doesn't work for Archangel but nothing on Thag1 feat.
Lion: Hey Russ, you'll never guess what!
Russ: Yeah, I know! Magnus is a traitor! To think that he could accuse our beloved brother Horus of turning against us. Impossible! But don't worry. I have taken care of it, Horus asked me to destroyed Prospero and I have. Magnus shouldn't be bothering us again.
Lion:... actually, I was going to say that Magnus was right. Horus has turned to Chaos, 7 other Legions have joined him and he has destroyed 3 Loyal Legions already!
Russ:
Is archangel out yet?

Yeah, I know.
But the argument is that Gallows Grove was recently ruled to be allowed to be placed as reinforcements
(since it isn't on table its "no placing allowed rules" aren't in effect).
This could be applied to Gargantuans, and while the scenarios aren't exactly the same it would have been nice to have a final ruling.

I doubt we'll see a ruling on that till after Gargantuans drops.
The place for reinforcements has a damn sight less impact on the game than bringing a dragon-lite back from the dead. So....

I agree that clearly PP aren't going to rule on the Thag/Arch interaction until the Arch rules have actually been released in some form. I think they will end up ruling that the Gargant can't be resurrected, but it does need a ruling since it is pretty unclear at the moment.
I will certainly be playing that he can't be resurrected, as much as I would like to, but it would be nice to have an absolute answer.

So far anything that affects warbeasts/warjacks, affects Gargantuans/Colossals. So the Archangel ruling would have to be unique to address this one specific abuse.

Just to recap Thanatos' explanation above, the issue isn't with the archangel not being a beast, it is with the fact that gargantuans cannot be placed, and that it is not clear whether being placed back on the table after being resurrected is the kind of placing that gargants cannot be... done (since you can obviously place them at the start of the game).
Ah, that is more clear.
It states clearly such models cannot be placed and if we go by literal reading then it shouldn't. I do not know the wording on his feat though, but if it says place and that was intentionally chosen (and not just an oversight before these things came out) then the answer seems clear.
