Konstantine returns to Wargaming, and does WW2 (again!)

Pretty self explanatory title. I have always been a huge fan of the World War 2 period, however my last few incursions into the hobby has not turned out great. Recently I purchased the extremely fun "Rate of Fire" rule set from Crusader Miniatures. After the first couple of small playthroughs with proxy soldiers, I have decided to buy some more WW2 figurines. The fellow below is from Artizan Designs, I have to say... very nicely sculpted.
The model was a joy to paint especially the "freehand". The uniform colours are loosely based off those of Tom Weiss, one of my favorite painters.

The plan is to paint around 40-50 US Airborne in around four months, and then switch over to a platoon of Germans.
That's it for now boys! C&C Welcome!

Just noticed that the pictures are very dark. Hopefully can get an update with some natural light soon.

Just a small update to any people out there. The following four miniatures are now missing the "Screaming Eagles" insignia, spades on the helmets and their ranks.

C&C Welcome! Painting will be slow. Currently caught up with a great AMC show called Breaking Bad, and then its off to vacation in the states for two weeks.

Nice work! Breaking Bad IS really good. It distracted me from my painting for a good few weeks. Is 40ish men per side typical in Rate of Fire? What about tanks and artillery? Sorry to bother you with questions, but I'm looking for a WW2 ruleset for my group. I

Really nice work - i much prefer the yellowish look to the uniform - mine seem a bit too brown now by comparison - also like that you've managed a contrast with the webbing to break up the mini a bit. Might be the lighting but the bases look like they could use a final highlight as they seem a bit flat in comparison to the very crisply done figs. #congrats and good luck with the rest of them

Ps if you lose heart with the painting you could always try operation squad rules as you only need a squad or so. Plays very nicely but interested to hear what you think of Rate of fire as not played it.

To all the subbed members, and other viewers, I will be putting this project on hold indefinately. I am heading out to California for two weeks for... VACATION!!!

Will answer all your questions, after I return from my trip... However, painting will be slow because, I accidently on purpose invested myself into another wargame.

    See y'all in two weeks.

Nice work so far and: Bwahahahaha, don't think you'll get back to doing anything WW2 for a while. Infinity is a very cool system with some beautiful, beautiful miniatures.
