looking for discount on HH series

Hi all, not certain this is the right place, but since it's related to Black library products figured it should go hear.

Anyway, I'm looking at getting the entire HH series, but don't have $200 or so dollars to fork out to get them either directly from black library or local book stores.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper alternative that would ship to AUS, so I could get the entire series at a reasonable price (would prefer not to go over $100 if at all possible)
not to fussed on buying second hand, so long as everything is still in good quality, though would obviously prefer new

    Thanks, orik

Amazon traders are your best bet here, or perhaps a lucky ebay auction. As nothing in collected into one volume yet(which will probably happen after the series has finished) you won't reliably get cheaper anywhere else.

k then, thanks for that. With Amazon though, would you recommend I buy from the same supplier for combined shipping (for AUS $12+99c per extra item), or shop around for cheapest price

probably better to get it all through the same seller since your main objective is to save as much as you can.

Is there any particular reason for choosing Amazon over Book depository. I was looking at BD prices and they are indeed good and also free shipping worldwide.
If someone has some experience with them I would be glad to hear it.

Your best option is book depository.
    1. free of shipping charges.
    2. if the book is in stock, usually will be dispatched in 24-48 hours, you usually will receive the book in about 2-3 weeks time. We are in Australia, what more can we ask.
    3. you can pay via paypal, safer.
    4. cheap, really cheap. RRP $18 in gamesworkshop, you only need to pay half of that or even less.

I bought all my black library books from book depository. They are very good. The price of pre-order of black library books is very cheap, you are looking at $7 Australian dollor for Fear to Tread, if you search Publisher: Games Workshop. With a RRP$18 AUD in shop, that's really a bargain. Just remember the same title will have different price, usually the Publisher: Games Workshopis cheaper; Publisher: Black Library is expensive. It's just a matter of doing some search in the site.

yep, thanks for everything. Managed to get my hands on 5 of the books for $25 (Mechanicum, the first heretic, Prospero burns, the outcast dead and The Primarchs), and got False gods & Galaxy in flames for free(well, with a gift card), & might be getting my hands on Rise of Horus from a friend. Anyway, looks like the book depository will probably be my best bet for the rest of the series (or christmas )

now, just a general question on the series, is it best to read them in order from release, or doesn't it matter to much? (I've started reading Mechanicum, because at the time, that was the earliest book in the series I had)

I recommend reading them in publication order. It's not 100% necessary for every book though but some of them form their own mini series within the whole series like the first 3 books and the Dark Angels novels.

The first 4 books should be read in order, they set the whole story up.

Don't forget to check Oxfam type shops for 2nd hand books. Always feels good to recycle, help a worthy cause, and get a bargain!
