If you're looking for a waac army, take into consideration your play style as well. The army can be as cheesy as it gets but if you don't know how or don't feel comfortable playing it, then you're not going to be getting good results against smart players. If you've got a hyper offensive style, where running across the table full speed is what you like to do (since OK have already been taken), don't go for a very defensive army, go for DE, DoC or WoC. If you're more of a defensive player, then go for a lizardmen MSU army. If you're adaptable, then go skaven, who can go offensive or defensive and still be effective!
Apologies in advance if any of my post appear to have words missing letters, my keyboard is faulty and I refuse to get another one.
After reading Valkia's book, I've come to this conclusion: Vakia is a strong, independant consort of Khorne, who don't need no mortal man to bring her down.

The glory of the Internet. We can agree to disagree. I don't think a WAAC list really even exists anymore.

Did you mean army? If not, I can point you to some blatantly WAAC lists.

Yeah, WAAC army. I don't really mind the WAAC lists either though. I think Fantasy is fairly balanced anymore.

I agree that they're better than they were in 7th, for sure.

I don't get the "can't take OK" thing. Surely if you're WAAC you just take whatever you want and say *******-off to the others if they don't agree? If you're 15 players, one is going to be forced to play WE, even though he has no chance ever of winning against WAAC lists? That's absurd.

One really important thing to consider is if you like the army. After all you are the one who has to paint all the miniatures.

Chaos warriors can be a really strong army too. Hell Cannons are devasting! (once it misfired against me and all my mages had to take a misfire roll, 500 vp's for a misfire)
Marauders with mark of khorne and gw's are really strong and cheap too!

    Wood Elves
Wood Elves are really underestimated! (But they are certainly not what you are looking for)

Honor amongst thieves, Urgat. Thieves, in this case, referring to powergamers.

    ...

    ...so yeah, honor amongst thieves.

Honestly power gaming is just what you do until you fall in love with the game. Then you start to enjoy the fluff and the variety of the army book. In my experience power-gamers seldom stay with the game long enough to develop the familiarity and skill of the game to get the most out of their 'WAAC' lists anyway. They end up with a bunch of unpainted models, a poor attitude, and no one to play them.

Re: advicr on an waac army.

I would go with Warriors of Chaos. You have things like Marauder hordes, strong Warrior units, super 3+ Chosen, Hellcannons, and spammable Warshrines. There are some basic units that are just undercosted and overpowered in the Warriors book. You could make a list like this.

    Disk Sorcerer Lord
    BSB
    Sorcerer
    50 Maurauders
    50 Maurauders
    4*5 Dogs
    Super Chosen Horde
    Hellcannons/Warshrines

This kind of list is really stupid and aggravating to play against but it is WAAC.

Edit: Just make sure whatever list you have can beat 18 Ironguts, 8 Mournfangs, and 2 Ironblasters
Looks like you lost this game in the "purchase models" phase.
Why is it always the innocents who suffer most, when you high lords play your game of thrones?

I would say lizards if you want to play waac and like magic. Life frog or Banehead death frog chilling in tg with another saurus block or 2 some salamanders and the badass jack of all trades solo cold one riding heroes is a pretty good core to an army.

Warriors of Chaos I'd say. Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch on Disc for awesome magic, rock hard warriors and knights should have no problems carving through ogre flesh.

Why are you Waac players anyway? It really seems to limit the army lists you can use.
Don't you have this: Oh I would love to make an armylist centered around forsaken chaos warriors but that is not optimal so I don't (for example)

One of the things I really like is using units I really like and make them work somehow (even though they are far from optimal)

Firstly (and I hate to say this), your first and foremost efforts should be to improve your spelling and grammar - your post was actually very difficult to read.

As per your choice of army? As far as I understand it, WAAC Skaven armies are difficult to defeat. As has been said elswhere, is WAAC really that important?

High elves are elite. Therefore less painting required and have good magical abilities; perhaps they meet your criteria?
