Daemons vs dragons and everything is painted! Nice work!
Don't worry about not getting many comments. This part of the forum is fairly quiet. Even the people that look at the battle reports rarely say anything. If you mention there are pictures you'll get more.
Now to go back in and read the ending thoughts![]()

Great report and nice looking armies! Thanks for all your work in putting it up.![]()
Thanks guys! It actually means a lot to get some comments because (yeah) it's a bit of work putting reports like this up.
Of course there's lots of Pictures! And I suppose I should've mentioned that.. I just thought it obvious because how could you ever make a game like this comprehensive otherwise?![]()
Excellent report! Great to see two painted armies slogging it out!
Awesome battlereport!
I love playing exceptionally large games.. I always have, ever since 4th ed.. It's also awesome to see two large and well painted armies on the table.. So, the problem with games this size is that they are quite hard to encapsulate in a batrep, however, you did a really good job, lots of pics, brief descriptions and captions and just good shots to sum up big parts of each turn. A few more wide angle shots of the beginning and throughout the game would be a great addition.. I love your terrain.. I barely gets used anymore especially in larger games..
So, 250 bloodletters on the table would have = instant win.. BUT, thats why I love games this size. It forces people to dust off units and models that never get any face time, just to make the points up. I have a large warhammer collection but would struggle to build a cheesy 10k point list.
Great job! I hope to get a few of mine own up soon!
Thanks for comments and feedback guys!
@ Totenkopf: Thanks for the criticism about those wide-angle shots. That's good Points you're making. Problem I experience a lot of times is that I have a friend on the other side of the table who just wants to 'get on with it' but I'm gonna try to remind myself to follow your advice the next time I make a batrep. I'm glad it was at least somewhat comprehensible still!
Oh.. And I only have 200 Bloodletters so I couldn't have done that instant-win list you talk about (hehe) but like I wrote in the report this game wasn't really primarily about 'winning'. And in the list I was using Bloodletters are more expensive compared to the official rules too.![]()
Im kind of interested in your rules changes to the deamons.. do you have a version of the rules online for me to take a peek through?
Here you go.
Also sent you a PM.
Cheers!
awesome bat rep, great job! must have taken you a long time to take all the pics and put in the arrows and titles and everything.
i'll also look at your modifited rules, they look interesting.
i am so stoked about the new daemons, i used to play daemons and this may make me try them out again . . .
One of Portents first 500 members. If you don't know what that is, than I might be too old to be still playing this game!

I got a soft-spot for Daemons too. It's great that our model-range is getting some love of course. The rules-patch is a bit too business-oriented for my tastes, but that's been discussed to Death elsewhere I guess.
Happy to entertain!![]()
