6th edition campaign: Glimpse into the golden age.

I have created a campaign for 6th edition. To get to know the new edition an because campaigns are fun.
In the attachment you will find all the rules for this campaign. And it will start in a couple of weeks and will be updated with a new mission each week.

This campaign is for my gaming group but why not share it with the rest of the community. And the full rule set is but a first version and for 90% complete.
So use/add/remove/build on this campaign as you wish. I will keep updating the rules and wording for a couple of weeks. If you have some ideas or want to do some weeding through the rules or even have great ideas for missions or story arcs post below.

Have a good read and let me know what you think.

    -Completed the rule pack.
    -Minor changes to upgrades.
    Update:

    To do:
-Write a story line or preferably find someone who likes writing a 10 short (or however you would like) episode story line for the missions...*looks hopefull at the warseer community*
-Design 10 good missions using and implementing a lot from the BBB.
-Get a sign up form to start up a group so I can start posting battle reports!

I just finished writing up a campaign for me and two of my friends and I was curious to see how mine looked compared to yours. But I'm pretty confused about what is going on. How does your battle and warlord experience work? Do you have to make a "Master List" that is a huge number of points, but you can only choose units from that list during your campaign?

There are a couple typos in the beginning, like using "were" instead of "where" in the transmition. And the first sentence should end with "personally" not "personal".

But I did enjoy your emphasis on making sure that all players are engaged and keeping the motivation up. If you want, I can show you my campaign I just made.

Yes I'd like to see your campaign, glad to have some feedback.

No you can create any list you want, locking players in by making them play the same list but just keep adding to it might bore some players or players choose a wrong unit and are stuck with it.

Every player gets a piece of paper were he holds the score of who he played. If a player has enough battle/warlord points he can roll a dice on one of the 3 tables. If you get a battle skill that has to be assigned to one unit you must write down what kind of unit that will be, ex. you roll and get improvised defenses, you then assign it to say a scout squad. Whenever you use a scout squad (only one!) it has this new skill. It already got clearer in the current 1.3 version.

Yep typo's, there is actually a reference to this in the first footnote in the document. I am heavy (real heavy) dyslectic, so I cannot see some of the obvious typo's any chance of helping out would be fantastic!

During the campaign points will go up from 1000 to 1500, and stuff gets weirder and weirder. But I do like to hold this information a bit back so they do not know every thing coming at them.

I can also send you a crude mission build up for inspiration if you like.

Keeping the group going and keeping the morale high is the most important part of keeping a campaign running and not slowly crumble apart.

    Minor update 1.3:
-Finished the story arc frame and mission set-up (every standard mission and set-up is used at least once.)
    -Completed the rule pack
    -Minor errata's and updates

    To do:
-Get a sign up form to start up a group so I can start posting battle reports, sign-up starts Friday.
-Add some more updates from feedback.

Re: 6th edition campaign: Glimpse into the golden age.

Ah yes, that makes sense to me now. I would be happy to go through it and look for any typos I can find if you would like. I did see your footnote, but I was just making you aware of some of the larger ones that jumped out at me.

So with mine, it was created based around the idea that three people would be playing in each of the battles. The way we had it envisioned was to be around the idea of having a back story that would bring together our armies onto a single planet, and everything that happens would impact the campaign in some way. As such, we created 15,000 point Master Lists that we would draw upon for our games. Also, we have a different system for experience. Now the reasoning behind doing it the way we did, was because we thought it would be more engaging and personal to have your literal army written down and what it is comprised of. We grow attached to certain units that do well and have a lot of experience and it allows for a certain narrative to play itself out. We are 6 games in and having an absolute blast. It makes it feel like each battle is a part of something bigger, and not just a bunch of battles strung together. You can see when you are winning and when you are losing.

Especially the part about growing attached to units, it allows for some pretty epic moments in the games as well. I'll attempt putting this document on here, I am not sure exactly how to go about doing that though. So if it doesn't show up, then it's because of my own incompetencies!

So if you have questions onto why I did something that I did or want clarification just let me know. I'll look with a judging eye through yours to see if I can find any typos.
